American Pie, by a wiiiide margin.Superbad or American Pie? Which wins?
I mean one movie literally had nothing to do with the other. We had the (spiritual) sequel with Booksmart. Judd getting jealous of Olivia's shine or something?

Spiritual. As in Olivia leaned HEAVY into similar themes and humor. Not in that they're connected in any real way. If you don't get "girl Superbad" feelings when watching Booksmart, then idk.I mean one movie literally had nothing to do with the other.
And I recall ppl calling it the female version of Superbad even though it wasn’t anywhere near as popular or successful.
Doubt Apatow is jealous of Wilde.
In that case, I don’t get the use of the word sequel.Spiritual. As in Olivia leaned HEAVY into similar themes and humor. Not in that they're connected in any real way. If you don't get "girl Superbad" feelings when watching Booksmart, then idk.

You're just taking my words too literal. Like Apatow being jealous of Wilde. I was being facetious. In no world would he have anything to be jealous of.In that case, I don’t get the use of the word sequel.
They’re very alike but I only get the vibe that it’s the girl version of Superbad. Not that it’s the successor of it.
Compared to something like Cloverfield and it’s spiritual sequel 10 Cloverfield Lane.
