Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

I laughed more at Superbad but I thought American Pie was better overall and gets an extra star for nostalgia. What's the criteria?
I think what you just said is spot on (perfect actually).

Criteria is looking for an overall comparison.

Tom Cruise is the GOAT

Did NOT expect Maverick to have those kind of reviews
I can't stand Tom Cruise, but I'd be lying if I didn't admit that he's been in multiple classics. War of The Worlds, MI franchise, Edge Of Tomorrow, Eyes Wide Shut, Oblivion, Collateral, Valkyrie, Minority Report, and the Last Samurai are all up there for me.

Strange but true......Tom Cruise has never had a 100 million opening weekend. 65 mil is his highest opening.

Top Gun 2 with a holiday weekend and Doctor Strange should be slowed down by then might be his first. 8o

Cruise has had such an interesting career.

He was the rising star of the 80's.

Than the mid-90's-early 2000's came and he did what Adam Driver is doing now and branched out to work with every big name director of his time. (i.e Kubrick, Paul Thomas Anderson, Pollack, Mann, Spielberg, etc...) No matter the subject matter, he was there.

Now in the late 2010's-2020's he's become this almost psuedo-Jackie Chan/Buster Keaton equivalent with the stunt-work he's done in the recent MI movies.

I’m pretty sure I saw Ward’s Remo Williams movie in the theater when I was a kid and liked it. I used to check for him after that.
