Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

There Will Be Blood was like that. Movie sucked balls, but Lewis was INCREDIBLE
Balderdash. That movie is *!#+%%+ genius. Really, really dark and serious film...while at the same time absolutely hysterical. I suggest re-watching under the influence of your favorite vice, my friend.

@ having not seen Casinos/Goodfellas/Heat/Pulp Fiction/etc. Get on that ASAP, Ska. You're doing yourself a disservice. Throw in Reservoir Dogs and True Romance while you're at it. Easily as good if not better than Pulp Fiction, IMO.

A friend of mine who is a huge movie buff has been putting me onto some hidden gems lately and I highly recommend this one:

Great, great movie. Val Kilmer puts on an amazing performance.

You gotta get on Goodfellas and Heat...Two classics.
Pineapple Express is one of my faves...but I usually end up turning it off right after the police chase scene...the first hour or so is by far the best

And the first hour or so of Pineapple Express was by far one of the funniest movies I've ever seen, but the last thirty minutes were just wayyyyyy too over the top.

Sorry, but "YOU GOT KILLED BY A DAEWOO LANOS, MOTHER %@%+#*" *bang* was one of the best parts of the movie. But other than that and the diner scene, yeah, the movie dragged at the end.

There's too much to go through and quote, I dont know how you guys got this thread moving sooo quick, but dealing with just this page:

SKA: Watch all of Goodfellas, Casino, Heat, Pulp Fiction and the Hurt Locker. You owe it to yourself. Just find a good website and download them (if you're into that kind of thing), sit back and watch 1 a night or something. It'll be the best week of your life. Make sure to start with THL though, doesnt matter which one you finish with. Though I'm biased towards Goodfellas.

Oh, Casino's on OnDemand Free right now if you have Comcast.

JRS: Make sure to watch Moon. The first half is trippy and gonna have you guessing for a while. But when it's all figured out, you just get sucked into the movie and Rockwell's story.

Speaking of space movies, anyone looking forward to Apollo 18? Looks decent to me so far from what the trailers have shown.

Just checked my cable (Comcast) for Goodfellas, Pulp Fiction, Heat, and Casino, and the only thing coming up anytime soon is Goodfellas... on the 28th.

So yeah, it'll be awhile, gentlemen.

I've also got Lord of War queued up for the 28th, too, since someone had mentioned it earlier.

*edit* What the hell, man? I just checked OnDemand and didn't see Casino. CLicked the OnDemand button on my remote, went to 'Free Movies!' then 'All Movies A-L', and definitely didn't see Casino.

I say keep holding out, ska. I haven't seen most of those, either.

I'm a big fan of the Paranormal Activity formats. The stories aren't great, but if they were, you would have an excellent, excellent horror.

How do you guys feel about me praising Paranormal Activity and disregarding Goodfellas in the same post?

On the top of Pineapple Express, stoner flicks, and Tarantino, we can thank Brad Pitt's Floyd in True Romance as the inspiration for Franco's Saul in Pineapple Express.

Apatow basically wanted to make an entire movie based off his character, even if he is a rat. Pretty awesome.

And Your Highness looks incredible. Franco and McBride in an ad-libbed stoner medieval comedy? Could be epic.

Kev, I just read back through some of the pages and saw you're a Peter Sarsgaard fan. He's awesome in the movie I posted on the previous page (The Salton Sea.)

Highly suggest watching it if you haven't already.

Brad Pitt in True Romance and De Niro smoking pot with that blond chick (another awesome woman character that I forgot about) in Jackie Brown was such a treat.

And I love the whole low-budget, home camera feel of Paranormal Activity. How'd you like the second one, if you've seen it?

Noskey: I'm gonna check out Moon one of these days, I've got so many DVDs and blu rays unopened that I need to get to, as well as my DVR and external. Can't wait till I finish school and could just lock myself in my room and submerge myself into some damn good pot and cinema for however long it takes.

^Just added The Salton Sea to my wishlist, sounds like a gritty flick.

I thought Paranormal 2 was better than the first. How that happened I have no idea. My need to see list is at about 25 right now. SMDH. Renegade, it all comes down to sports in some way. Goodfellas? Just a lil story about the pitfalls of sports betting.
