He wasn't the first to do so. Actually, almost all of Michael Jackson's moves originated from the Electric Boogaloos. The move was called the backslideby b-boys back in the day I believe.

the dude that played turbo ( boogaloo shrimp ) for breakin actually taught micheal how to moonwalk, mike then perfected it

its funny cause people here are saying that Michael was "inspired" by these moves/people and that he "perfected" them. But then they saythat people like Elvis Presley "stole" and people like Jay-z are "biters.

Interesting what death and biases do perspectives...

Never really heard what Elvis "stole" nor as far as MJ goes has he "stolen" anything either, Those two really changed music and justbrought the style they were performing to the mainstream because of showmanship, content, execution, new forms of media (radio, music videos, etc) andproduction. Hov tho, blatantly plagiarizing Snoop and Biggie lyrics (on multiple occasions) is biting no matter how you look at it at least imo.

Boogaloo Shrimp (Turbo in the Breakin movie series) was the one who taught Michael Jackson how to do the Moonwalk properly. He saw him bust it out at a jambefore, even bringing it into the mainstream.
