This is what I was able to find that was documented. At my school, Pike is off campus and most likely have their charter revoked. They threw one of the pledgesdown a flight of stairs and broke his collarbone. Anyone who has a Pike chapter on their campus can tell you what they do. Scum.

Every fraternity in the country, EVERY fraternity, has both good and bad chapters across the country.
One bad Pike chapter does not make all Pike chapters bad.
At one school Pi Kappa Alpha can be the most popular fraternity, and at another school it can be the least popular.

Pike has bad chapters at most universities.

It's just a correlation in general. The point that I was making was that there are good and bad chapters everywhere, at every school, and notwo chapters are the same.
Just because one chapter hazes, does not mean that all chapters haze.
My personal stance on the matter is that if I'm going to go through humiliation and/or torture just to be part of a Fraternity, I'm not doing it, and Ithink the people that accept it as a rite of passage are tools. I think it is counter productive to the whole process of forming Brotherhood. How can aperson pour boiling water on your back one day, and call you a Brother the next?
As a rule, just about all Fraternities are a joke now a days. Essentially, you pay money to have big parties, big formals, and to benefit from the socialnetwork of other Fraternity members upon graduation. It's a great networking tool if you utilize it.

I dunno, at my school, Pike is pretty shady too, west coast. Not sure about elsewhere though, but that seems to be the generalization we are rolling with lol
