Well in terms of PPP GDP China's is like $5,000 per capita versus the USA's $46,000

While China certainly has tremendous cultural history and capacity for economic growth, their lack of basic political and religious freedom coupled with alower standard of living hardly makes them what I would consider successful in comparison to the Western world
