good luck wit that
thanks for the heads up wallyhopp
few pick ups............
thought this was rather funny
Never wear a Dodgers hat in LA? LMAO!
Well. Good luck on those Indians low crowns.
Second and presumably last shipment for me with this sale
Both all Navy's made in USA with imported materials. Solid fuzz. One of the low crowns is made in China and just flat out kind of sucks. The other USA made, decent fuzz. Hope y'all get lucky and get the musa fuzz.
Yea, I know. Not giving up hope.
A real vintage Phillies cap in that style would be made by Wilson.
But yall seem to be talking about some sort of retro. Not actual vintage but vintage style.
any old logo new era releases will be Cooperstown, period.
Seen expos fitteds that are not CC on eBay. I'm confident I will eventually find one even if it may cost more.
I found a California Angels non CC on eBay. Had to sell it because I went 7 5/8 instead of 7 7/8.
I ended up getting my hands on a bunch of older Oakland A’s on field hats. All size 7 3/4
I want to say from 1992 when they first put the mlb batterman logo on the back. They have a green underbrim and have the old new era tags on them as well. Anyone interesred in any for a low low price.
Orioles wore this in the 90s.
^ nice. I think they only wore them one year, 1995. HC had a nice custom made that I was able to pick up. I see 7 to 7 5/8 on eBay constantly for a decent price. I love the 1-2 year one offs that many teams had during that time.
Some older pickups I thought I'd share
The A's was a lids $13 bf sale cap. It's a pre flagged fuzzy as hell on field. The others are from HC
I also bought some lids retro classics Brewers that quickly got returned.
They ended up being basically black with dark green accents. The original were much like the HC BREWERS custom in the first photo. Light Navy and regular forest green. It's so far off I almost threw up a little. It looks more like a mid 2000s Tampa Bay colorway.
Macy's came through with some bf sales. All but one is a pre flagged
MLB on field collection all but complete fellas.
^Need the tigers with the tiger on it.
Need the Nationals with the DC.
Also need that Brewers with the MB.
Had all 3 but did not take good care of them
Browns, Senators, Colt .45's...Pilots?
even that box low-key museum worthy
You looking for a straight original? eBay has a few.
Looks like they'll be wearing it this upcoming season as well.
I wouldn't pay retail for the newest line of imported material polyester on fields. But that's just me. It would likely be a slight increase in quality than your standard CC custom.
What are you against specifically? Mickey's place 1980s Phillies is non flagged, green under, no batterman. Likely made in China but when they do have sales, they aren't bad caps. Even your lids retro classic isn't terrible compared to much of what's out there with CC branding.
Not quite. That's pushing it. First goal was to finially obtain a wool of each current MLB squad. That's accomplished so the slowdown is too real right now. Sort of liking these one off customs that HC has. I'm waiting on a two tone twins M custom. They had one 4-5 yrs back.
I love customs in the same realm as their regular on fields
nice vintage pickups.
cool to see this thread rocking after 10+ years!
History of new era tags by date
Solid list. A few missing tags here or there for the more current era that I'm more familiar with. But a great resource Non the less. I can buy a cap online and not tip off any sellers on what they may be selling as rare or underrated.
Some new finds. Picking off some final missing pieces. Solid buy 3 get 1 free deal
2009 Washington Nationals alternate on field. MUSA/ 100% poly/ black under.
2009-2011 Oakland Athletics alternate on field. MUSA/ 100% poly/ black under. Design is from 2000 season. I'm guessing this is some type of TBTC cap with 2009 era lableing.
2007-2010 New York Mets road & alternate on field. MUSA/ 100% poly/ black under.
All super soft great fitting polyester material. The 2016- current era is saddening.
With wahoo now officially wiped clean off mlbshop, I had to scoop up some duplicates
2003-2005 Cleveland Indians home on field. MUSA/ 100% wool/ grey under.
Impulse buy. 1995 Milwaukee Brewers home & road on field. MUSA/ 100% wool/ grey under.
Anyone know how to get sharpie off of wool material? I spent 4+ yrs looking for this set in my size. Just so happens there's multiple autographs all over them.
hardest hat to find right now? Ram fitted in a 8 in their OG LA color scheme.
Hatclub has four in the royal/yellow. Not exactly hot selling IMHO.
hmmm, give it a gander...hatland, ecapcity, myshirtsco, lids, and cranium were cleaned dry.
@ninjahood try the locker room of Downey, they don’t have a website, just fb and instagram. But they do phone orders and you can dm them on Instagram. Picked up a Dodgers hat from them a few months ago on instagram.
Have anybody cop anything from Cranium fitteds and ECapCity does it have good or bad customer service
^both awhile back
CF had 60% off for a 3-4 month span. They were making it seem like they were closing down. FB page isn't really updated. Nothing really new in stock. I'd probably stay away
Ecap seems a bit better currently. It's been awhile though
No issues with either when I did order yrs back.
Speaking of online retailers, I got some emails for MLK day sales.
Mickey's place 30% off with JANUARY Code
4ucaps 25% off with MLK25 Code.
Heads up. Lids just increased the price of all current on field inventory starting today. $37.99 is the new norm. Increase is about $3/cap. Hope you stocked up.
It makes these sales that much more important. I barely like dropping $19/cap, now retail is $37.99. Special editions ought to be $41-$42 range easily. Who’s buying at these prices? Kick them in the junk for me.
