It has been announced that Final Fantasy XIII will land on US and European shelves March 9, 2010.
To celebrate the imminent release, Square will announce new information on the game on the 13th of every month as part of a Lucky Number 13 campaign.
The new video is up now on the official site and the EU PS Blog, which we put below the break.
By the way, Leona Lewis sings the theme song to the game.
adhocParty for PSP Available Soon
Hi everyone! Great news for all of you Ad Hoc fans out there -adhocParty for the PSP system, which first launched in Japan last year, is coming to North America! AdhocParty is an online service that allows PSP owners with a PS3 system to connect to one another via the PlayStation Network. It will be available as a free download on the PlayStation Store soon.
So, how does adhocParty work? PSP titles with adhoc mode traditionally require you to play within close proximity to each other. AdhocParty takes advantage of the interoperable capabilities of the PSP and PS3 systems. It enables you to play games featuring Ad Hoc mode, such as Gran Turismo and Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, over the Internet through the PS3. Your PSP connects to the PS3 via Wi-Fi, allowing you to chat online with fellow gamers in North America before jumping into competition from the comforts of each of your respective living rooms.
In addition to all of its competitive and social gaming features, adhocParty for PSP supports voice chat through the Wireless Headset or PlayStation Eye, offering you a complete and
immersive gaming experience only available on the PlayStation platform.
We'll have more details for you soon. Enjoy!

Simply put, greatest video game series. Ever. Every RPG created wants to be the "next" FF.Originally Posted by 1C3M4M

After hearing the song that Leona Lewis is supposedly supposed to be having in this game, I'm really sketch...
Final Fantasy music is much better without vocals in any of the songs. Even Suteki Da Ne is terribly overrated.
Bad move by Lewis, bad move by SE.
Will it have online? I was lookin up final fantasy last night and read that XIV will be a MMOG
May have some component, but I doubt anything major.... Hybrid?
XIV is completely online, and should (hopefully) be out next year as well.

That's like buying a Ferarri and saying, "Naw, don't like the color of those spark plugs..."

Doubt XIII will have anything online, its going to be a standard single player RPG i believe. But yeah FFXIV will be mmorpg like FFXI was though.
I can't wait for XIII but can't wait even more for Versus XIII
I'm just saying, you take a look at most of the other Final Fantasy themes, and they're theme songs from video games that you recognizeand love.Originally Posted by theprocessofbelief

This isn't something that'll have me remembering the game by. It's not necessarily bad, but the lyrics don't really fit for a Final Fantasy song, all I'm saying. Of course it's a big deal if they take a good portion of their NA/EU release video talking about her, and the song.
I don't think they'll come out with XIV until late 2011/2012.
Yeah the last FF MMO came out relatively short after the previous game did, and I'm sure they're working hard on it, but just comparing to how long we've had to wait for 13, I just don't see another FF coming out for a while, I think this will hold us over for a loong time.
They announced this game in 2006. They announced XIV this past summer in 2009, I highly doubt we'll see it next year.
Hell, I don't even know if we'll get Agito/Versus until 2011 too.
