Yeah I said that. Are you expecting me to backtrack or something? It would be a vice week or two full of debauchery and I'll probably feel bad after wards. What do you expect me to say?

I never try and justify my bad behavior because I make a choice to engage in it. Whatever someones personal relationship with God is that's on them. You also make it seem like I believe God only because I don't want to go hell. Like that's the only benefit for being a Christian. That's why I feel no need to even talk about what I believe in.

- God has different ways of loving people, he loves the less fortunate the way a sexually abusive step father loves his step daughter. Whether I believe in or follow him or not, dude still loves me and showers me with blessings.

You claim being human as if doing drugs, drinking and pre-marital sex are vital for your survival. Billions of people do none of those things and live happy lives. I never said you were a bible thumper, I just used them as examples of people who actually tend to follow the rules of the religion they preach at least. Atheists don't believe in "nothing"
They just don't believe that there is a god/s.

If you think a god exists, you should provide evidence or proof to support that claim. If you can not support that claim, then the conclusion that there is a god, is not supported. 

Based on the evidence for the existence of a god, the claim is not supported and thus I can't say that there is a god.

Could there be a god? Yes. There certainly could but as of yet, there is no EVIDENCE to support that claim. So in suggesting it, you are committing to an entity that you can't even logically assert exists in the first place. 

There could also be a flying spagetti monster. There could also be a pink teapot on the other side of the sun. There could also be the easter bunny. These "coulds" are all possibilities. ANYTHING is technically possible. But you can't say any of these are true because there is no evidence to support the claims that these things exist. 

And why do I demand evidence? Because without it, you are then free to say anything and NEVER be wrong. I could therefore say that the earth is flat and spins on the back of a turtle.

On top of that, you being able to shift the understanding of god to your own definition indicates how narcissistic the whole thing is. Its just about ME, MYSELF, and I. It also indicates that somehow god is understanding of YOU and not the other way around.

If you can make a claim and support it through experimentation, evidence, or proof then I have no reason to not believe you.

Thats why you're innocent until PROVEN guilty. 

If we just went in with the assumption that your conclusion was right, there would be no means to see if it was even true in the first place. Thats why its important to validate these claims. 

 Its all in your head and thats why no one can tell you that you're inevitably wrong and making it all up as you go. 

God loves ME and understands ME because I say so. 

You need to start trying to validate why you believe the things you do or why you do the things you do instead of just committing to them. 

Some introspection would at least people allow to see that they make up half the stuff they force themselves to believe. 




The main point is...Cap29, do I care how you live your life? hell no. Just don't step on anyone elses toes and I wish you the best...but don't lie to yourself...as youre doing right now. 




If you want to smoke/drink/smash all night, DO THAT...and be happy with the consequence. Dont live in guilt with some mystical sky daddy judging you. If you're responsible and safe then the outcome will be the same anyways.

Well the difference is that in that movie, ghosts actually existed. In that movie realm there was proof and evidence of ghosts.

There is no proof or evidence of a "god" ...and on top of that, nothing says you should even acknowledge it or much less even try to communicate with it. 

And Anton isn't forcing anyone to agree with him. Hes simply challenging them. He is also asking questions. If they come to different conclusions, thats fine, but dont expect me to believe that a man went on a journey and got a message from god all alone in a cave and it became the koran, as billions do today and have me say it is a logical or rational conclusion. 

If its so that this is true then, I don't think its unreasonable to ask for evidence either.
