That’s cause hip hops origins are based on youth and competition. Kinda just how it is.

Yup. It'll always be a young man's game.

Also hip hop media & journalists play a role too. You can just ask artists who they draw inspiration from instead of asking, "what do you think of this 80s/90s/dead rapper?"

replaying song after song
inflating those numbers
 
The funny thing is about these dudes that diss legends the way Greedo did Pac/Timbo is that their careers burn out REAAAAAL quick...if they ever really had one.

Talking reckless like that blocks your own blessings. You secretly offend other legends and OGs of the game. You won’t have a shot at the same collabs/connects you may have otherwise had. You can’t stand the test of time without being connected in the industry and the quickest way to get blackballed in hip hop is to start saying some dumb **** like “**** 2pac” or “I’m better than 2Pac”.

it's really a question why someone wouldn't be Ok with completely disrespecting the memories of two of the most vital components to hiphop culture?

Obviously the majority of people aren't gonna come to blows over an opinion, but this culture of just disrespecting everything W/o real reasoning behind it has gotta stop. Dudes will blatantly disrespect Pillars of the culture & wonder why people not from it have no problem toying with it. And that goes way further than just rap music, black culture in general is losing a respect for anything classic or important.

It's one thing to have an opinion & explain yourself intelligently, it's completely different to just be out here saying ridiculous **** & this is an era where it's rampant. A bunch of dumb ****** just running off pure ignorance & no appreciation for anything
