Jon Koncak, Atlanta Hawks. The Damage: six years, 13 million dollars. The Legacy: Believe it ornot, the Hawks haven't always been the NBA's biggest joke.
There was a time when Atlanta didn't have to throw free Hammer concertsto draw fans. And there was a time when Atlanta's owners didn'tinterfere with trades or draft picks.

Bryant Reeves, Vancouver Grizzlies. The Damage:six years, 66 million dollars. The Legacy: Good teams make smartdecisions, while bad teams make terrible decisions. For example, theVancouver Grizzlies, the worst team in NBA history, gave Bryant Reevesa 66 million dollar contract extension.

Jim McIlvaine The Damage: 5 years, 35 milliondollars. The Legacy: Jim McIlvaine destroyed the Seattle Sonics. Who?Jim McIlvaine! His contract set off events that destroyed the greatSonic teams of the 1990's.

Juwan Howard: 108 million dollars Howard hasn't done much since scoring a huge deal with the Bullets/Wizards in 1996. There's always Michigan.Keith Van Horn: "Max Contract " He was the NBA's version of Where isWaldo? Van Horn did time in Philadelphia, Milwaukee, New York, NewJersey and Dallas. He's now out of the NBA.

Raef LaFrentz: 63 million dollars Dan Isseltortured him in Denver. Of course, Dallas gave LaFrentz 63 milliondollars even though he didn't fit in with former Mavs' Coach DonNelson. He's apparently in Portland, but I didn't see him last year.

Anfernee Hardaway: 87 million dollars Phoenix gavehim a monster deal based on his years in Orlando. Penny did nothing inthe desert before ending up in New York. Whatever happened to those LilPenny commercials? Yogi Stewart: 24 million dollars Erick Dampier: 63million dollars 'Damp' had some decent years in Golden State. Dallasgave him 63 million dollars. The Mavs and Mark Cuban should ask for arefund. Allan Houston: 100 million dollars After inking a mega-dealwith the Knicks, Houston injured his knee. The fan favorite was never the same and retired a few years ago. Apparently, the formersharp-shooter is scheming on a comeback. Brian Cardinal: 37 milliondollars He makes nice money for a 12th man.
Cardinal's contract wasn't one of Jerry West's finer moments. Even TheLogo makes mistakes-just don't tell Kobe Bryant! Howard Eisley: 41million dollars Allan Houston $100 million dollars Jerome Williams $51Million dollars Michial Dickerson $ 43 millions Jayson Williams $ 90Million

there are other people on that list that are doing much worse than Rashard. At least he was pretty good individually at some point in his career.

We used to call him Jon KonTRACT.

Brian Cardinal aka The Janitor earned it lol. I mean when he played for the W's he was all out that's why Mr. West signed him lol.

Dickerson was fast becoming a really good player and then he got injured. Not his fault.

Yao plays a TON of games every yr. ( NBA and including international comp. from Team China) so, best believe he deserves that money.

You do realize these millionaires/billionaires don't make their money from owning sports teams right?

Unless one of these players contract is preventing the team you root for from making personnel moves I don't see why you would have any issue.

Economic crisis?

Lets be serious 99% of you guys wouldn't care if all the players were performing up to expectations.

settle down.

The duded posted that information because the person he quoted was talking like the owners are making crazy money compared to players when they really aren't at least when it comes to the teams themselves.

Let the max be what it is..But it just shows how dumb some GMs are to wave that much money in a player's face when he doesn't deserve it.
I agree with this 100%. Some GM's are just dumb as sh!@.
