It depends on what you want in a belt... Since winter is coming you probably want to steer clear of webbed belts, IMO they are more summer fare. Forcasual/jeans I would recommend a single piece belt in quality leather. You can go through some leather goods makers and get quality english bridal leatherbelts in a single piece, dyed and not painted, for $60-100. Yes, it is certainly more than department/chain store belts, but it is an investment when youconsider that a nice belt will last forever basically with a little care. Look at vintage WW1/WW2 garrison belts for instance. With a little oil those thingswill still look new or even better than new.
