Why I was sweat-shamed as I waited for my coffee at Starbucks

I mean, as long as you aren't offensive (smell-wise), do you....

I think anyone who has worked out at some point in their lives has run an errand or two immediately following the gym. When you're crunched for time, and or, trying to be time-efficient, your shower can wait. Hopefully, not too long tho

Sweat shaming, man....sweat shaming :smh: This is where we're at now.

At least she exercises. Better that, than the weirdly shaped and non-athletic women who spend racks on Lululemon for their shopping outfits.

Where was the shaming? "You look like you did a class …..or swimming?" Really?! That?

This person is just super sensitive.

I thought this was gonna be about James Harden working out at a LA gym and leaving a puddle of sweat.

Anyone can find an undesirable trait about an individual that can be deemed as "shameful". Sweating is not that big of a deal.

People these days have a lack of confidence and are too consumed with other's approval.

huh? just because someone wrote an article about a single experience doesn't make it a growing trend...

there is nothing more gratifying than being drenched in sweat after a good work out or run...whether its men or women, its rewarding and i think in most circles respected...

True Story: I was carrying my lunchbox walking into work today and someone asked "what did you pack for lunch?"  I told them what I packed. When I got to my cube I realized that I was lunch shamed. Should I contact HR?

    Effective response to "sweat shaming";

"Yeah, I just worked out. You look like you could hit the gym a little more" (walks away)

This is what i though. The person obviously wanted to make conversation but people are so stuck to their computers/phones the person ran home to post about it rather than talk to the person. :smh:

I always run between 8-14 miles on Saturday morning and usually swing by Jamba Juice or Burrito Boy afterwards because I'm starving like hell.

    Don't eem care.

I'm proud to sweat. I workout and run a lot plus I sweat a lot naturally. I don't care what anyone thinks my body is doing what it should be, it's keeping me healthy. I don't care if I smell either. Up until the deodorant company propaganda people didn't even really shower everyday.

I noticed women hate to sweat though. My girl is mad self conscious about it. Women worry about the silliest things.
