STAY/GET BACK IN SHAPE VOL 3.0 -- A New Niketalk = A New Thread

Yup! I thought it was a medicaid thing, but from what one person told me, most insurances make you do that process.

Even worse, because I have to do this first, there is no diagnosis. So they can't even tell me what exercises NOT to do, which ones I should do, or what we are fixing because WE DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT'S WRONG.

Which is why i stopped going last time after 2 sessions, it started pissing me off. They had me doing leg exercises with ankle weights....I can do that at the damn gym.

I tried last week to go to a hospital last weekand get a MRI, but they told me I would have to see an orthopedic, who could then set me up for one. All I could get was an xray. They found nothing.

Sound like you have a torn meniscus, and the flap that's torn keeps getting stuck. Sucks having to wait for MRI's. If you get it stuck and go to the doctor and pretend to keep it stuck in one spot, they have to give you an MRI. Insurance can't make you wait if you can't move your leg

So pretend I can barely move it and they'll assign me to a MRI?

You're in the medical field? That's what one Physiatris told me when I tried to go through her for an evaluation. How long does it take to get fixed? So I know how much time to expect for recovery. Thank you bro!!! Repped.

Is there a difference between each brand of fish oil or are they all the same just different companies?

Yeah come into urgent care or the emergency room or your doctors office or whatever, hobbling. Act like you can't even extend your leg all the way. They'll do a couple of test where they ask you to try and extend, then they will have you lay on a table and try and physically move your leg for you. Resist as best you can, then tell them it hurts too much to go any further.

I tore my meniscus and at urgent care they were like, " yeaaaaah.....just like Ice it or whatever and you can see a specialist in about a month or two....wait WHAT?! You can't fully extend our leg?!! Oh snap, you are seeing a specialist tomorrow!""

Then I get to the specialist and he's like, "yeah so just sign up for PT or whatever and maybe we can get you an MRI in 3 months or so....WAIT WHAT?!!! You can't extend your leg?!! I'm gonna write that on the insurance, you'll be put at the top of the list for an MRI!"

Sure enough, 2 weeks and I got my MRI. Meniscus injuries are nothing serious though fam, if that's what it is. Arthroscopic surgery, you'll be back walking normal in 2 weeks, back running in 4-6 weeks. Maybe lifting again in that same time frame. If you do have to get surgery, DO EXACTLY WHAT YOUR PHYSICAL THERAPIST TELLS YOU AFTER YOUR SURGERY. Even the small crap, just do it and get it over with, you'll be back to normal in no time.

Any of you guys ever use an ammonia inhalant before a lift? Just curious because I've never tried it and I got them at work

Some cats at my gym were before deadlifts. They said it'll make you go beast mode for a second but you'll feel real lightheaded afterwards

Na, I don't feel like I'm lifting heavy enough to need it.

Once I'm pulling in the 700 range we'll see but at the same time, I don't wanna depend on it every time I'm tryna PR or hit a 90-95% of 1RM lift.

I know one couple who uses it. The girl used it before a squat PR attempt and the ********* almost passed out (She hit the PR tho) lmaoooo.

My pre workout formula has been my ammonia. That and a good song to hype me up.

Nah I'm not lifting heavy enough for that, no one uses it at my gym unless they are pulling 7+ plates.

Dl
405 4 sets of doubles
225 3x5 2" defecit.

Weight was flying today :pimp:

Bout fifty various grip pull-ups in sets of 5.

Man some cross fit group came into my gym today and it was mad annoying because they took all the dead lift platforms and were rolling out on the god damn platforms for 15 minutes then used it to do some light *** cleans -_- all the regulars were heated.

We aren't the gym for that crap. That's what crossfit gyms are for.

Update on my bulk. Really is hard to gain weight while trying not to completely pig out. Since I posted that pic I've been eating 5 meals a day almost everyday. What f ed me up was being sick and then the up and down weather messing with my body.

Currently hovering between 200-203. Goal was 210-215. I got till the end of this month. I won't be too upset if I don't make it though. Always next season
