eeBS7eez, saviers fit is about the same as nikes. i can tell no difference between my nike 12s and these in a 12. you dont have many options for sizes, soalmost anything within 1 of what you normal wear is what my range is.. I always get a laugh at jordan heads who HAVE to have their size 10.5 or they are upsetand dont even buy. for me, my feet HAS to adjust to many of these models.

btw, some close up of the saviers:

Soft suede, quality build.. imo blows away any NIKE retro from 2000 to 2009. They were seriously onto something in material and shoe quality. Maybe its justthis model that is apparently 1 of only 100 made. stuffed tongue adds so much comfort. skaters dream shoe.

Thanks wallyhopp, i think i'll be able to get away with a 9, especially with them being so hard to find. might be getting them for cheap too, which wouldbe really nice. anyone have experience with sizing on the sb trainer 1's? that will probably be a pair i'm picking up soon. thanks.

modzilla: they came out in 03 i think right when nike started to ruin everything with the "packs". There was a trainer 1, an air force, and maybe adunk. Cant remember.

Wally, in your trainer opinion, 2000's are the way to go if i want them to last? and what does everyone think about the SB trainer 1's? i'd like tohear some opinions before i cop. Thanks.

eeBS7eez, great question. 2000s set a high standard for this model. and I have been let down ever since. The biggest issue is the paint chipping on the midsoleof almost ever 04-08 air trainer 1. Many of the leather based models have a substandard leather quality to that of the 2000s Suede is another type of materialthat has been bad on many retro 04-08s compared to the buttery softness of 2000s. Now as far as the 2000s lasting longer in wear time, I doubt there would beany difference. The difference is in the softness of the materials and comfortability. Nike claims to use synthetic materials to be environmentally friendlyand ethical. Many of them are hardier, so they are less prone to ripping but comfort is sacrificed. you have to ask what you ultimately want?

the saviers will be tough to match with any trainer 1 sb thats out there. Saviers have some quality materials that are NOT seen on every air trainer 1. If youwant a sb trainer, go for the first trainer 1 sb, the paul brown's. Not only arent they whored out in NIKESB branding, but the materials are good and themidsole doesnt chip. So again, the question as far as "lasting" really depends on if you plan to perform in these sorts of shoes, or if its a casuallooks thing. PM your size and Ill help you out.

modzzilla, they did the tw II originals really bad with that supreme release. SHOT in the back by your brother type of deals. no OG c/w's first? its beenyears now and nothing. You honor the shoe by recreating it for SUPREME and nikeSB? that just rings of ignorance in my eyes.

eeBS7eez, the trainer II sb's are awhole other story. I have heard nothing but good about their quality and comfort. Im just not a fan of their colorways.thats probably another trainer model you can look into for the sb's

come to think of it, you're def right on the lack of attention to actually retro'ing the regular nike trainer II, which is super clean and deserves it.i never really thought about that. thanks for the pointers on the sb's, i was thinking about pulling the trigger on bamboo's, but i might hold off forthe next bit.

in regard to wear, all my sneakers are for casual purposes, as comfortable as some of them are, i have modern nike's for running/gym/etc. so i'musually pretty light on them. i read in the restorations thread that you found a good paint for redoing the midsoles of the 04-08 trainer 1's too?interesting stuff, good to see you putting more into this than nike is.

Great pickup as well, monday should be a good start of the week. my savier's are on route by seamail from australia, no clue how long that's gonnatake. def worth it for the price though.
