I've read Simmons stuff for about 10 years now. I enjoy his writing. He writes the way he would talk to someone.
I enjoy his podcasts. Hell, I'm only a few years younger than him so I can kind of relate to the pop culture stuff from the 80's he's talking about.
That being said, he gets a TON of hate from the internets.
His opinions aside, he knows what he's talking about..

Yeah, he's running the sports podcast game right now. I also like to listen to lebatard's *%#$ when I'm bored at work...

I tried to give Whitlock's podcast some play but his *%#$ was just way too bland and he's a cornball when he tries to be funny...

I could imagine it would be tough to listen to his love for the C's. 
I love Simmons. Loved his RW/RR Challenge draft. I love when he talks about the RW and Jersey Shore. That is right up my alley. Want to listen to his 90210 talk with Matthew Berry.
