****The Everything LaVar Ball Thread****

Two reactions to all this.

One, can't believe those BBB shoes are so bad that the Lakers had a talk with him about them.

Two, good for him if he's really moving to Nike and distancing himself from BBB. He could use next season to start anew. So much talent but too much baggage.

All Lavar had to do was run a background check on the dude smh. And he didnt even investigate the financial advisor’s warning about the dude for MONTHS. Just straight up ignored it so he could practice his old *** dance moves in the mirror.

He cost Lonzo $1.5M and cost his other sons a free education and the chance to play college ball. 30 for 30 incoming

Was there ever an accurate measure of what BBB was valued at? The brand is certainly dead with Lonzo and Melo out. D-MO posted a video of him trashing the sneakers.

Wonder if they still go ahead with that alternate all American game??

This would be a huge L for Lavar if bbb does fold, wonder if he makes a public statement or keeps quiet for a while.

Alan= Judas
Both did the unthinkable to their brothers.
But from their treacherous ways, the world has new hope.

Can’t wait to see Lonzo balling in Jordan’s and Kobe’s. If lamelo gets to go to college, the family can still recover. No harm no foul. It’s funny that EVERY person on the planet correctly called how stupid Lavars decisions were and he still didn’t heed anyone’s advice.

How is momma Ball? I haven’t seen the show or anything, is her health getting any better?

Who didn’t see this coming from day one...Lavar ain’t no business man he was all talk big talk. Made some expensive shoes and they never even got shipped out. And people was still on the Lavar train lol.

Though nowhere near on Marv Marinovich's level, this amount of incompetence from Lavar Ball isn't surprising.

Gelo, whatever...but LaMelo/Lonzo are the major victims here. Lonzo for his finances, and LaMelo for having his amateur status pretty much crushed (up hill battle to get to the league.) Lavar RUINED his boys in the short term.

yall are right...30 for 30 in the works.

*One thing I was thinking of...with as much TV time and exposure Lavar/BBB was getting, why weren't any of LaMelo's Spire games televised on the big network?

I don't think Melo has an uphill battle to get to the league at all. He played with and against some pretty heralded recruits and showed out. This year was a win for him. He put any talk about his development being stunted to bed. He's on the same level with the elite 2019 kids...and technically his REAL class is 2020. He's supposed to be a HS Junior right now. If he were in his correct class today, he might be one of the top 3-5 prospects.

Now, his status with the NCAA may be at risk..and perhaps prematurely eliminating that path could be viewed as a negative...but only if you believe that is the best, or only path for him to take. It's a new day brewing in basketball tho....

Zion is the last NCAA megastar. You will not see that again. The phenoms will go back to the pro route...and as the G-League bag gets larger and larger...the bag men on the college level won't be able to compete. In the next 4 years until the next NBA CBA...you will see a growing number of elite prospects bypass the college route. Melo will be one of those kids.

You're probably right. I'm going to be curious to see how he fares against bigger and better competition. Also, teams may be a bit more intrigued if Lavar is truly taking a backseat or is phased out completely.
