I'm so frustrated about this. It's like there's no getting around it. I recently got into a car accident, in which the other driver was also to blame. But as soon as the cop saw that I was Black and the car I drove, he told himself he had an open and shut case. Hell, he even said it to me. I'm not going to go into details of what caused the accident but today I'm looking at the police report my insurance company has and this guy not only falsified the report, using the other driver's statement as my own (at the scene he refused to talk to me or listen to me, only coming over to issue me a bs ticket [no insurance] because my insurer had not sent me new cards as yet) but also listing another person that was not at scene of the accident on his report. [The other driver did not have a license or insurance].

Not to mention he accused me of being an alcoholic (claiming my OBD scanner was a breathalyzer machine), and illegally searched my car. TBH I can't understand how my pops lives out here.

Unfortunately as long as there are different races there will always be racism. Just the way the world is. As an individual you have to do your best to not let it affect you and or stoop down to the same level as the racist people in this world.

I think black people as a whole are too quick to play the victim card....I refuse to be a victim

Trust I don't even want to compare the two because they were both horrible but black slaves weren't even seen as humans while Indians where in a position where they could fight back, heck they provided safety for many blacks in the south. In modern days that your parents or grand parents were alive to see blacks were still blatantly getting crapped on, yea yea people wanna say blacks cry victim, but the people who say that don't even understand fully what happen. NO other race has had their identitys ripped from them and mentally screwed up where the results are so blatantly evident to this day. Indians in a sense where in a position of power and ended up losing the battles, blacks were pretty much captured and or sold by their own people that got their heads screwed up by greed which has destroyed the entire continent.

The question is why do you feel otherwise? Name one thing done to NA's not done to African Slaves? The only difference is one people were profitable to breed while the other were profitable to exterminate.

Nah I know the beginning times there were a similarities, but native Americans in a sense were wiped out which isn't a good thing but I don't think they had it as bad as blacks did in the early 1900s mainly because there was such a small number of the left.

It feels like we're just comparing scars, but I think you're really discounting the importance of the old ones. It's the time. When horrible, genocidal things happen like this, the hope is that the culture survives. That the old ones stay alive to teach the children of the better time. That there are still people left who remember enough to rebuild the culture.

Why do you think Africans disown American blacks?

There was this sci-fi book, I always meant to read, but forgot about. The idea behind it was that Earth was dying, so we loaded up a spaceship with enough people to keep Earth's culture alive, but it took so long to get to this new planet that generations passed on the ship....wars happened, cultures shifted and were eradicated, and those people who finally got to that planet barely even resembled the people who left.

What happened with American slavery, never happens. When a people's culture get wiped out, odds are most of them died or they just got assimilated. Neither happened. Blacks lived on, lost everything about who they were, how they spoke and where they came from...didn't get assimilated, got segregated and told they weren't humans for 200 years. All the old ones died. All the culture rebuilders died. All the ones who got away, didn't make it to America, so when the Civil War ended, there was nowhere to go, nothing to learn, nothing to rebuild...just a scattered, broken people with a bastard subservient culture dropped into a culture that refused to begin to accept them for another 5 generations.

That's different. The Native Americans got decimated, but they kept their culture.

American blacks have had to improvise, mostly from scratch, with a lot of roadblocks in place.

When you can't assimilate into the bigger picture, because you run into those little honest mistake roadblocks that remind you of your place, that's when you fall back on your culture, where you're supposed to be accepted.

That article, just feels like old roadblocks springing up on someone who thought he'd rose above.

The thing is I would have rather been wiped out than to have been stripped of my identity never being able to know who I am and on top of that being denied civil rights and blatantly discriminated against to the point where other minorities start to believe the stereotypes created by the oppressor. I'm 23, have no criminal record, and I hardly look like a thug, but the side-eyes, harassment and just plain lack of service I get in places where I don't "blend in" is frustrating.

I feel like males who aren't black or hispanic can't really understand how it is sometimes. Obviously segregation doesn't exist anymore from a legal standpoint, but that subtle "we don't want you here" is very much present in a lot of places.

Edit: As a semi-fan and somebody who lives 5 miles from Fed Ex Field, the ******** name should be changed asap. It's beyond disrespectful, I don't see how it's been allowed this long.

I think if Native Americans werent dang near extinct that stuff wouldnt be around, but they are too small in number and nobody else understands it is offensive or doesnt care being that it isn't targeting them.
