I should be doing a big drop of Swingman Remix PS's on PlayerExclusive.com this weekend (sorry for anybody who's noticed the delay in posts the past couple weeks, but I've been busy with work)...

Is Nike ever going to release the Swingman Remix to the public?

If Nike does the old griffeys ANY justice ya best believe I'll be the first one to proudly come out of pocket. That is, if they do come back.

Well, Jr.'s been spotted wearing the trainer-version of these so who knows...

^ no, no... I hear ya... I'm also one for "I'll believe it when I see it"... but all I'm saying is since they do exist, I'm keepingmy fingers crossed.

I seen a post a while back where someone brought up the question of whether or not that Nike was going to reissue Junior's Swingman 500 Batting Gloves thatcame out in 2003/2004.
Well I asked him about whether or not they were going to and he said no plans were to release anymore batting glove lines at this point. My Dad and Ken Sr havebeen close friends since back in the late 70's when Junior was a kid and my family has been pretty tight with them since then. I am totally psyched aboutthe new shoe coming out, ive been asking him for the past 3 years when are they going to come out with a new shoe and he kept saying next year. Well finally 4years later they are bringing them back. I had talked with his Nike Rep Lyne about what there plan was and he said that they were probably going to retro someof the old ones but not sure which ones they were going to retro. I just assumed they would bring back the old ones like Nike has done in the past with otherplayers shoes. I was kind of hoping they would reissue the 1st and 2nd line again because I would love to have new pairs of them in size 11 or 12. Seems everytime a size new size 12 comes up on ebay the final bid is over $300 bucks. I have them but I was 12 and 13 when they came out so they are like size 9 or 10.

Back to the batting gloves, I don't know if some of you guys like me bought 1 or 2 pair of each line that came out from eastbay and they were always crapand would end up falling apart after wearing them a few times and unfortunately were very cheap made. I brought this up to him and also being a leftyJunior's gloves are much better made and he has a pad sewn into the palm of the right hand glove. I told him about them falling apart and being cheap andhe told me to stop buying them and he would send some. I seen that a lot of you guys post pics of your stuff so ill try to take some pics of the gloveshe's given me over the years. My favorite line was the last the "Swingman 500" glove that he currently wears and has been wearing since 2003. 2Years ago he sent me like 12 pair 6 black and 6 red and the red are by far my favorite, they are sharp.

I'm new to this page so ill try to figure out how to post some pics.....

These gloves were from late 1999, 2000. He wore these right at the end of the last season with the Mariners and then first year with the Reds. He gave me abunch of them back in in March of 2000. No longer had the need for Navy gloves and Tony Perez wouldnt allow him to wear the No. 24 because the Reds wereretiring it that year.

Wanted to add another few pics. Not sure if many of you guys have seen pictures of the initial G9's that they had set to release in 2004. There wasactually a whole other shoe designed intially but not sure why they cancelled it and come up with the other design, well its obvious because these firstprototype were ugly. Notice that these are Baseball Cleats and in 2004 they did not release a G9 Cleat commercially only what Junior wore in games. Kind ofcurious what the shoe would have looked like. But these pics are kind of rare I think. Has anyone else seen the first G9's?

Anybody got pics of him with the high pants with the M's?

TheSwingman24 - I wonder if Jr. even knows that there are fanatics like us who are still craving for a retro of his kicks from 95... as well as individuals whoare willing to pay $300-400, basically, for a pair of unwearable/cracking shoes...

You can definitely say the INSPIRATION for the design of this Sample G9... Most definately designed aftera BASEBALL GLOVE... I actually like the SLICK LOOK and think it would have grown on many people if it had indeed released...

doesnt look like a glove anywhere to me......what glove has XXXXXX sewn on? none it loos like the stitching to a vintage baseball
