That’s what I’m saying, bundle the team and picks into like 2 or 3 packages and see what we can get

1 package will be headlined by Mitch and Dallas picks
1 package will be Headlined by RJ and some Vets
1 package will be headlined by Knox,Frank, DSJ, Dot and our 1st rounders.
(somewhat serious)

Real talk though Dolan has to move on from Mills and Perry. They need to be gone from the Franchise before any players take us somewhat serious.

Winning heals all. As long as Knicks are a lottery team no premier players will take us seriously.

Problem is we are a very idealistic fanbase. We think Mitch is gonna be some dominant defensive center that you can play 35 minutes a game. Knox is gonna be some knockdown shooter the next Rashard Lewis. Frank is gonna be a stud. In reality none of that will happen. We’ve seen enough of these dudes to know what we have and what we dont have. Idc how good you want to be, most of the time you don’t actually get to that point. Our development is beyond terrible so these young dudes will just rot here and we’re gonna overrate the crap out of them like we do every young player.

They all played enough minutes to see what you have. With RJ we have something. He’s actually produced in the time hes gotten. Hell he produced and shown more flashes this year than Frank and Knox combined in all their minutes.

It’s time to be realistic about our young guys. They are just not that good. Mitch will continue fouling, he’s a low IQ player who has played enough minutes at this point to know when and when not to foul. Frank will never be a starting caliber player. Knox is trash, and there’s no point of waiting 5 years for him when he won’t be a Knick.

Im all for packaging these guys for a star. Unless we have a top 5 pick we literally can not drart or develop the right player.

Essentially having Randle messes everything up with having a traditional Center. The way this team is built and the type of players it drafts is just a head scratcher. Can’t wait for this front office to be gone for real. Don’t even trust them with any trades.

Players selected one pick ahead of the Knicks’ selection since 2008:

2019 draft (Barrett): Ja Morant

2017 draft (Ntilikina): Lauri Markkanen

2014 draft (C. Early): Joe Harris

2011 (Shumpert): Nikola Vucevic

2009 (Jordan Hill): Steph Curry

2008 (Gallinari): Kevin Love

Nah because a starting point of giving up Mitch will be giving up too much in most people’s eyes.
I forgot who said it in the thread but Mitch is essentially Javale McGee.

that was me, and I’m ok with that. Javale actually carved himself a good career. Mitch will be fine as soon as he stops fouling so damn much. There have been games where he didn’t, like against Phoenix. That’s the new center in the league. They have to be athletic, block shots, catch lobs, and rebound. Gone are the Shaqs and Cousins.

that whole one pic before us means nothing. It would be different if they were all one pick after us.

So we never even had a chance to take those guys. I don't get this.

Once the Knicks decide to move the practice facility closer to MSG more players will want to come here. The team is actually getting better and more competitive. We still passed on MPJr for Kevin Knox and hopefully we can draft top 3 this year for a shot at Wiseman or LaMelo

The FO preached patience and drafted players who are clearly projects. Fine, the fans were on board and everyone said finally we’re holding on to our picks and rebuilding through the draft. All of a sudden when they realized these dudes aren’t gonna turn to anything partly because our player development team is trash, they said the only way they’ll get better is if you surround them with winning basketball and proceeded to speed up the rebuild for an attempt at the 8th seed by bringing in a bunch of vets.

We’re obviously not gonna go the full tank Sixers route. It really comes down to that in New York you cannot properly rebuild through the draft unless you get top picks. Countless times they've sped up the process because it just doesnt work in this city. We always suck, but never suck the right way. We will absolutely never get back to back to back top 5 picks like the Lakers, Hawks, Grizzlies etc get.

It's how everyone in this city tries the get-rich-quick schemes (scratching lotto tickets, pyramid schemes, credit card scams). New Yorkers have no patience. They need results fast.

It doesnt matter what FO we have. We will always speed up the rebuild.

-Trade every young player for Melo even though he'll be a free agent
-Amnesty Billups to sign Chandler
-Trade for Bargnani for the 2016 pick
-Noah contract then Noah stretch
-Hiring the sexy option in Fizdale and pretending he's a player development coach
-Getting Mudiay and Burke to bury your lotto pick in Frank
-Trading Porzingis for a KD/Kyrie pipe dream
-Getting DSJ to once again bury Frank even more
-Bringing in Payton to now bury Frank and DSJ
-Bringing in Randle and Morris to bury your lotto pick in Knox
-Bringing in 4 front court players to bury Mitch
-Now the Drummond rumors come into play and its the absolute perfect scenario of speeding up the rebuild once again

They dont know how to either only play the young guys for 3 years straight and rack up top picks or trade everyone and be content with a 4-7 seed. We always mess with the plan because once again, in New York you cannot rebuild through the draft.

Whoever the next FO is will have similar pressure. It's another reason why alot of top FAs wont come here. There's too much pressure for fast results.
