I think the book and the documentary are not connected at all - for some reasons they have the same titles, maybe they bite each others.
The book is made by Vikki Tobak, she had a very successful book prior to that ('Contact High') which was about photography in Hip Hop.
I wasn't aware of the Youtube series though - good shout!

Ummmm it’s impressive no doubt. The intricate details but from a personal perspective it’s a bit much and creepy. Super religious carvings, statues have always freaked me out a bit. Like those high detail crucifix in some Catholic Churches.

I couldn’t wear it.
