I let my cousin borrow $500 more than 2 years ago
I saw him this weekend
I think I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m never seeing that money again. I’ve seen him 6 times since then and we have an amazing relationship. But every time I’ve brought it up he hits the homer gif real quick

I tell people time and time again. Do not lend out money but if you must, only lend what you would be willing to give as a gift.
 
Ain't that rule of thumb with fam? At least it is with mine.
Assume it's a gift.
People lend out more than they can afford to lose, talking about "I know he will pay me back". Yeah right. :rolleyes
Making assumptions based on the person's personality. People do not operate the same when money is involved.
