Found a stray little tortoise in my front yard about a month ago but nobody claimed or suggest a possible owner on my community posts on the local towns' FB groups, so I'm keeping it.
It's a female so I didn't have as much inspiration for a name but eventually settled on Nemesis, named after the Greek goddess of vengeance.
Final choice came down to that and Freya, the Norse goddess of fertility.
I wanted my tortoise to have a badass mythological name so Freya just didn't really meet that standard in the end, though it's a nice name regardless.
