It's a brilliant plan.........for the military industrial complex and for the further centralization of power.

We should be because we have concrete enemies in Afghanistan (even if the CIA had a hand in creating them

However, the "Global" war on terror is nuts.

50k people die in car accidents each year. Should we declare a war on "automobiles"?
Terrorism is the price of doing business the way the Feds want (notwithstanding whether they're right or wrong).
Either we change the way we do business or we continue on and accept Terrorism as a byproduct. Fighting global terrorism is a waste( transfer to selectcorporations) of resources.

Those, my friend, are the two biggest problems with this "War on Terror" - or as some would call it, a War of Terror.

It's not like a conventional armed conflict where there is a discrete nation or nations, and a formal governmental surrender can end the conflict. Whatwe're essentially fighting is an idea, an amorphous concept that knows no geographical nexus. Unfortunately this allows our nation to always be able tosay we're winning this war, that we're doing well, etc...because to paraphrase John McCain, winning the "War on Terror" is like trying tonail jello to the wall.

we need to stop thinking about terror in terms of military victory and more so how do we contain radical islam. i doubt dropping bombs on people is the way tomake friends around the world. sadly we view our strength as a blunt instrument rather than actively working with governments and global citizens to curb thiscancer...

I have this boot leg dvd about the government which got leaked & the government doesnt kno anything about, it explains so much about bush & hisfamily but do to the conduct rules on this site i cant get into it like that, but every year bush receives 300 billion dollars..thats the main reason were evenfighting a war, theres a plant that grows in afghanistan called ( opium heroin plant it's a big field which stretches for miles ) the ppl who grews theplant threaten bush, that they were going to destroy it, unless he pays up & give them more money thats y were fighting a war, see a lot of ppl think werefighting a war because of oil ect..but were not, thats what the government wants u to think

, we have oil that would last us the next 80 years... for each solider thatdies in iraq bush receives 70,000.

Also a lot of ppl think bill gates/donald trump is the riches person in the world

, The '' Pope '' is the riches person in the world..the u.skilled bin laden in 2001..all these tapes we've seen 2002, 2003 ect...are not really him...believe it or not theres actually trillions, & thesetrillions that work wit bush makes customs/make up that looks like bin laden, there so rich they can do anything..im gonna edit this post from time to time, Igotta finish watching the rest of the dvd ( which is 6 hours long

There will never be eternal victory. You're right as soon as one is killed, another takes his place... case in point; al Zarqawi.

As long as Israel is in the middle east and the US supports them, there will never be an end. However, it doesn't mean that our country will stop fightingthese people and not try to prevent terrorism state side. As long as they continue the fight, we shall.

Our country just needs a different strategy in fighting terrorism which is why its beyond crucial to elect the right President this Nov. One will continue theforeign policies of GW Bush, while the other will try a different method. I believe, even though I was challenged by many family members in the military, thatwe need a Cmdr in Chief whom believes in Diplomacy first.
