you couldnt tell me me and my bf werent serious at 17...now i laugh at myself...

I don't think y'all know how completely ridiculous you look. Teenagers swearing they will end an engagement if the woman chooses to keep her maidenname

a.) i never addressed him specifically, so for him to respond like he did, was out of pocket...off top...so, of course, clowing will ensue.
b.) i wasnt arguing with him. going hard? i guess, i didn't need to argue or prove a point, at 25, i have an awareness to the facts of life that a 17 yearold doesnt.. i was simply trynna help the young chap skip the growing pains...

im going to add his name to my name... i dont feel like taking someones last name and dismissing your own is right. A guy would never do it so why should I. Ifeel like this because even though I'm a female with my dad's last name. My grandfather was a loser and bailed out on his son. My father is successfulin his own right. I am the only one as far as I'm concerned that will be graduating college with my last name. That means something to me and i feel likeill lose part of my own history changing my last name to my husbands. What is marriage now days anyways, i want to be married once for the rest of my life butin America i feel like the only one, who buys into this fairy tale.
