I guess because the last release was in what, 2001? So alot of these kids were pretty young then, so this is their first shot at getting these shoes as "adults"?

I wonder if thats whats driving it?
I don't think that's what's driving it. It's just like you said, we haven't see then since 2001. Jordan Brand used the hype that's accumulated for the XI's to their advantage. They see that dudes were willing to shell out upwards of $300 for a pair on ebay and what not. So they know that if they hold off for long enough, they'd make a kiling when they finally do release them. All the people who wouldn't drop $300+ for em online will more than likely be in line waiting for em to drop. The hype beasts play a huge role in this. Kids that didn't even see MJ play in the XI's are fiending for these like their lives depended on it. Me personally, I had the OGs when I was in 3rd grade. Used to put em on at home when the Bulls played.

What does this have to do with people liking the shoes and buying them though?

so that's what happened...
I was just on footlocker site browsing, trying to get some
ideas for a gift for my brother and the site just locked up.

Its like wearing a shirt with a band on it and not knowing anything about thier music. You just got it to look cool.

pass. a pair of new Js can get me a new pair of WINNING USA boxing gloves...which i'll prolly use 100x more.

NDC worked out for me. I think the issue is a lot of people tried to do overnight shipping. I'm good for free ground.

As predicted.. after going through "site unavailables" to "your session has timed out" to finally getting to step 3 of check out 45 minutes after midnight.. "size 9.5 is now unavailable" to redoing it all and having my cart load up as empty.. once again NDC, once again.

nothing.

For me Space Jams & Black/Red > Concords

Also its like almost every single person out there is gonna have it. Like people who don't even know nothing about shoes are gonna buy it because of the hype. Like you could ask em a question
"So which jordan do you like the most besides the XI?"
they won't even know to answer back because they following other people seeing how popular the shoe is.

I'd rather save my money for the Black yeezy's

I got my pair tonight after we closed at work.  Tomorrow morning should be wild, though.
