when to stop buy Jordans

Wow to really think about it since I didnt start really getting jays till 08 probably when I buy all the kicks I wanted before like 18s blue and whit ds and black and white I mean once I got all the ones I wanted then I can kind of coast and just buy the ones I like during their release

dude is old, why should he rock jays? let him be plus ive heard he isnt a nice guy anyways which is part of the reason im done with JB, kinda ruined the whole jordan thing for me

MJ apparently is not a very nice guy!
I retired from collecting Jordan's in 2007, this video was partially the influence.

The whole shoe collecting for me will be done i'm just waiting for the gloves ndestrukts and jordan 11 in december after that not getting any more shoes to collect. And gonna liquidate most of my collection. I will start collecting something different and not too hard to obtain. Wasn't what it was before.

I stopped in 08. The quality/Chamillionaire video made me throw in the towel. Mainly the CDP quality, which was a slap to collectors faces.

I've been on the fence for a few years, but after picking up the XII retro playoffs a few months ago, I somehow stopped feeling the same level of interest in sneakers.  Maybe these were my previously unrealized grails, maybe JB's quality/MJ's continued post-retirement failure to live up to what he was as a player have eaten away at me, maybe I've just gotten old (29), or maybe all of those things combined... but today I'm just not as interested in J's or other shoes as I was in high school, college, or even last year.

Heck, this is my first visit to NT in like a month.  I used to be on here 100x a day, lol.

When it hits you, you'll know.

Peace out.

I think the CDP's were the epitomy of failure for JB. I do think they've made some better quality shoes since then. Not everything, but there is slight improvement with some of their releases. I have about 60++++ pairs and I think I've narrowed down the ones I can let go of.

Wen i have all the shoes i need ill stop. Im gettin there. I only like certain retros and i only buy what i like and will wear. 1s 3s 4s 5s 10s 11s 12s

whats chamillionaire talking about jordan being in a video game when he was a kid and with iverson, jordan was never in nba lives and not 2k til 2 years ago. think his only appearance was his own nintendo game. correct me if im wrong.

Ive only copped 2 pairs of Jays in the last 2 years. I basically went cold turkey and since then I have sold about half of my collection.

I still absolutely love shoes, but as I got older I found out there are more important priorities to spend money on.

I should have stopped before buying the first pair... some 20 years ago. I think the only way I'll stop now is when I run out of places to store them and yet can't afford a bigger house. That day is getting very close.

I've bought 30 pair in the past 18-24 months with no strain on my pockets. Most have needed either retrobrite treatment or major cleaning but all look near deadstock now. And contrary to most people I think the retro are more in line with everyday wear than the OG's. I have some OG he got games and they just don't fit right with jeans. As for stooping I don't see it. I'm waiting on The ginger 16's, have all the other colorways and the red, university blue and lightening 17's have other colorways, and the carmine's. Also, really into the original Puma GV's, have all colorways except all white, and I'm a huge pre-nike COLE Haan fan. So whether it's J's or not I'm definately coping what I like. My thing is to be real. Alot of those OG's didn't look all that good, they sat on shelves for a minute. I remeber we rarely liked new Jordans releases until the next pair came out then, we where hunting the previous pair down. I never liked 1,2,5,8's when they where first released, so why would I go crazy now and keep someone who like them from getting them. Sorry for going off on a tangent but the point is their nothing wrong with buying what you like, what you slept on as a kid, or what you couldn;t get as a kid but once you have them it should be lights out. So if you just beasting for thhe sake of it, shame on you.

wow i havent been on here in years..... so how long do you keep buying jordans, and how many stop at the 23, cause to me there not the same with out mj in them.  I have them all just waiting to get some og colorways to replace my ds non og colors 16, and 10s

When u run out of money lol

i'm probably done. i'm going to pick up a few grails but other than that, i feel my time is up.

If the price gets too high I'm not going to cop like I do now. If it reaches foamposite price, which may be what jb is going for by raising up $5 a year. I'm out. Once it hits $180 for a gr I'm retiring

I stopped for years and just got back. Infared VI's were my only pickups from 2007-2012. I don't think a person who's a true shoe enthusiast will ever stop. Especially ones that have been doing it since they were kids like me. :rolleyes
