Who is the NBA Player of the Decade?

1.Kobe
2.Shaq
3.Dj Mbenga...

All future hall of famers all (for the most part) Lakers....

and it's not even close

culturally speaking, of course.

four guys standing around watching one play..

tats, cornrows, headbands, shooting sleeves..

the crossover.. switching between different colored PEs like crazy..

^ Also bringing down every team he's played for. Don't forget that.

And being courteous enough to fake an injury to allow a more talented Rip Hamilton start ahead of him because he has too much pride to take a reduced role.Great guy

Agreed with most of what Iron Man said. Tim Duncan's accomplishments and his excellent level of play was a huge part in his teams sustained level ofexcellence.

Tim Duncan for me.

iverson is possibly the most influential ever, but not even close to being player of the decade.
I'll give this to Kobe. He proved it tonight imo.

I would say Shaq by far. He is by far the greatest center of this decade and quite possibly the only true center this decade... Sure Mourning andMutombo were around, but none were on Shaq's level. And he's had his team in the finals just as many times as Kobe has... Shaq FTW!

Duncan
Kobe
Shaq

I put Kobe at 2 because he has been killing for a solid decade. Shaq started to fall off years ago while Kobe just got better.

I'm a huge Kobe fan, but you gotta give it to Tim Duncan.

No question in my book.

As much as I despise the Spurs, Timmy indeed.

Mr. Consistency.

1) Timmy (Greatest PF to ever play the game, model of consistency the entire decade)
2) Kobe (Also pretty consistent the entire decade, but really upped his play in the last 4 years)
3) Shaq (After 00-03, he fell off some so that's why he's 3rd)

people underestimate the importance of role players..

it's not even just the shots.. there are games/series that turn upon crucial rebounds, charges drawn (putting opposing superstars in foul trouble).

even key suspensions caused. (sorry, phoenix)
