Why is it assumed europeans dress better than americans?

Probably cause we spend 300+ on Jordans while they spend 300+ on suits/dress shoes/other quality goods.

idk.

assumed no, its a fact.

they make the high end clothes & actually care how they look like.

bc they don't wear leather leggings, deep Vees and yeezy's.

because over there, they just want to look nice, over here its dressing to hype whats trending, or back ally, coutry, hobokin, gutter dirty, red neck  & obeese looking people out here..IMO

These two men solely are at fault. They have single handedly caused our demise.

I just came from Paris and can attest everyone's fashion game is on point. Cant say the same for Barcelona. London was a better than Barcelona, but not Paris level. The Fit of the clothes worn in Paris makes a huge difference. Everything is the right size; not baggy, not extremely tight. Their designers cater to this concept.

Also, like others have mentioned in this thread; they care about their fashion. Most invest in shoes, jeans, and dress shirts instead of kicks, sports gear (besides soccer jerseys, and are not hypebeasts or ride trends like Americans do.

Because it is common place to see young people 18-30 wear a button down as casual wear.  Slacks, dark jeans, khakis, are also part of basic everyday living.

There was never a style of ill fitting clothes aside from the extreme hip hop heads (super baggy) or the punk rock heads (too skinny).  What we call a slim cut here many european countries would call a proper fit.  Seeing young people in sweats and hoodies on a regular day to class is un heard of.  University is treated seriously so you are expected to dress the part.

In short American culture stylistically allows for more home/casual wear than Europe and most societies internationally.

I have a foreign mom (Jamaican) and in middle school she beat me when she found out I went to school with sweat pants on.  Haven't worn them to class since.

Everything don't said is true. A prime example of this is my uncle that grew up in Paris. He was used to wearing designer brands for (relatively) cheap. When he came out here he was amazed he had to pay 300-500 for the same pair of jeans he would wear daily at home.

Basically our top of the line clothing is their usual day to day style. While it may not be name brand their clothes stick to that type of look.

. Its a reflection on their parenting as far as they are concerned.

I used to get the meanest whippings for sagging too when they saw it. Happened so much in middle school I stopped by 9th grade and havent done it since.

i think because theyre less obese people over there, and they have a different style

americans really like it when youre different lol

Cause most style and fashion trends start in Europe.

And because they do. You're not going to see a male business exec is some square toe POS $100 shoes over there. Here, it's commonplace.
