I think him staying that long in ECW helped..And I swear to God the 2 things that come to mind when thinking of your first question was a better haircut and better ring gear..His attire was always so bland. And having a flat top/rat tail for a hairstyle was just awful..

I think if he would've come out a little earlier like when Eddie, Malenko and Krispinwah went to ECW he might have rode the wave of middleweight glory like those guys did.
