What happened to him? I remember around 2015 people were saying he was one of the best in the world

He really was at the time. Dude's stock was at an all time high..he was putting in the best work of his career and was an excellent heel. WWE was very interested in signing him, but he chose to re-up with ROH instead. He turned face, got a haircut and faded into Bolivia. He's basically 2015-2017 Dolph now

Damn he chose ROH over WWE? Lol what a big mistake.
 
Money not everything young one you will learn this one day

It ain't everything, but when you have a small window (especially in pro wrestling) to get that big check and you pass on it, that's a mistake..Even if he would've been wasted over the past couple years in WWE he still would've made more money and help secure his future than wasting away in ROH..

So basically what he chose was to be an afterthought in ROH making "ok" money instead of being an afterthought in WWE making "pretty good" money..
