Wrestling Thread June 17-30 | 6/24 RAW - Bryan v Orton, Punk's Response to Brock, Henry Not Retired

I am glad someone else had a similar feeling as me. I have never agreed to ANY degree with Bret calling himself, Best there is, Best there.......etc.

Nice read. What are your thoughts fellas?

Interesting comments about Danielson. This thread was pre-WWE, right?

As for Bret, he's a great wrestler. Just not the best though.

That was actually pretty well done by TNA.

Also, Tara was looking :pimp: :pimp:, and Robbie and Jesse were made for each other. Where's Rob Terry though? I know he turned on Robbie E or something like that

Though I do respect his work., I agree that Bret Hart is overrated.

I like wrestlers that are as good on the mic as they are in the ring. Bret's promo work was always dull and boring.

So many times he's said "blah blah blah even though I had the best match on the card" He's his own biggest fan and that really bothers me.

He did that as an angle before. Did u watch his documentary with hbk or hart fam one?

His promo work wasnt ever good.

But as far as in ring work, talent wise he was right up there with hbk. Maybe a notch below. His match with stone cold was amazing. But his health wouldnt have held up....like hbk did.... Look what drugs can do hahaha

Seen him wrestle soooo many times growing up at us airways arena in landover.

Also saw his last match ever vs goldberg in Dc starrcade 99. Crazy at the time. Even moreso when i found out goldberg caused it.

Everytime i saw him as a kid, i would be excited day of, hoping my tickets would be close enough for them pink shades haha

Only once tho, no luck haha

He said it a lot in his book. He just loves to boost himself up. I've never watched any docs about him

I think I've talked about the way he described his artistic skills in his book on here before. I swore he was very skilled just from the way he described his abilities.

Best match ever.

Bret's overrated, but he's still better than Daniel Bryan.  Not saying Daniel Bryan sucks or anything, I actually like him, but the WWE needs to let him have more freedom with his character.  I hate that "YES!" "NO!" ********, it's just annoying.  He's got some years though, so he has a chance to surpass Bret...

I'm still torn on him being better than Daniel Bryan, but the person who wrote that rant was obviously biased toward D Bry.

The way I look at it, I don't think Daniel Bryan, right now, could have as good of a feud like Bret had with Stone Cold or Shawn Michaels.  I mean, Bret may have been just above Ultimate Warrior on the mic, but him has a heel was one of the best.  Daniel Bryan just isn't there yet...
