^Oh man... The Gauntlet. I forgot how much of a problem Thanos was with that thing...

My pick would be the lightsaber. It's one of the few fictional weapons that has been effectively used by good and evil forces in the most significant ofbattles. Its versatility, even as a hand-to-hand weapon, separates it from anything that might even come close.
