Bachelor Pad.

From what I've seen of your spot I think that would look dope in there. Is it hard to keep those upholstered beds clean?

Real talk I need suggestions on a new bed frame, I need something really sturdy and something that does not require a boxspring.

Also does anyone know where i can get a nice wine and liquor cabinet nothing to big, looking for a decent size to have at the end of my couch about 3-4ft high?? :nerd:

I'm thinking about this rug...

Been at my new place for almost 2 months and finally starting to spruce it up. Bedroom bathroom and kitchen are pretty basic for know and just stocked with appliances and what not. More concerned about living room.

Before:

So Far:

Other wall is pretty bare:

I plan on getting a bigger tv by the end of the month (current one 32", going for a 46"/47"). Hopefully that will take some space. Was thing about an entire wall shelf/tv stand., but I may not renew this apartment once my lease is up and I dont want to deal with getting that moved.

Not pictured, but I added some black curtains. Just two side parts. Going to find a sheer curtain to actually cover the bulk or the balcony.

Anyone have suggestions of what to add?

I wanna fill up my wall as well. I was thinking going to goodwill or something and finding some cheap albums that I like, frame it and put it on the wall.

anyone done that before?

i know i have to do some rearranging being that my place is too modern.

HankHill HankHill clean living room setup. I would definitely upgrade at t.v. if your funds are right, and look to add some posters/art to the wall.

Or maybe mount the t.v.?

Mounting could be an option, but I'd rather use the stand, since I just bought it, and not have to deal with filling holes and repaint from mounting. That clock is going to go up though. May print out some smaller pictures to put up.Wanted some input on like a vase or something.

Anyone lived or has lived in Long Beach, CA? I just applied for a couple of apts in Downtown and Alamitos Beach.

I'm quite familiar with the area but for those who have a 1 bdrm, how do you make use of your space? I'm coming with a Cali King in tow

Downtown lb is amazing the night life is awesome too never been or heard of alamitos beach tho.

My dad lives in downtown LB, over on falcon or Esperanza. It's a cool spot because it's walking distance to a lot of stuff, lots of bike lanes, ton of young people, close to the beach etc.

It's a high density area so parking is atrocious after ~3-4PM, couple times I had to drive around the neighborhood for 20 mins to get parking :x :smh:

Just make sure if you move there you have either a parking garage or some type of designated space to park...

Was watching Ray Donovan and I fell in love with this bed during the hotel scene of the last episode. Anybody have info?

About to paint the powder room and kitchen in my house this afternoon. Surprising what a little paint will do to a room. This powder room is going to be a b because there is very little room to work.

-Also, to those interested in the platform beds think twice before you purchase. Yes they look cool but you will bang your shin multiple times on the edge plus after a long gym/bball session the next morning will be a struggle to get out of bed.

I have a platform bed and I've banged my shin maybe once in all the time I've had it.

You get used to it.

I'd probably never go back to a regular bed until i'm old and aren't mobile enough to get in and out of it.

Bump. Put off jazzing up my place for a few weeks to pay for my motorcycle repairs instead. Lot of work to do when the money starts rolling my way again. Trying to figure out how to incorporate rasterbation with canvas art. Also looking at color selection and getting stuff to match up.

Parking is literally the WORST down there.

Are y'all buying or renting??
To my renters: How much a month are y'all dropping? And how are you maintaining after that monthly expense?

To my buyers: Did you buy your spot in a place that you definitely see yourself staying in for the rest of your life? How much y'all dropped on the down payment?

Reason is because I'm in a situation where I feel I need to go head and buy a spot. Renting to me is a waste of bread..but at the same time, a job my take me to a new city in a few years so who knows, feel me?

I've seen alot of nice spots in the few pages I've read so far and it seem like alot of y'all caked up
