i think that denim should be judged on it's mill/washhouse more than it's style. The term selvage has been equated to a particular production element, however has been bastardized by many brands and no longer holds value.Originally Posted by PiNoyBOy
Are selvage jeans really worth it? I seen them go for 250-350
keihara, kurabo are great mills for shuttle loom denim in general. cone mills is obviously the coup de grace of denim on this planet. however aside from the afformentioned japanese mills and cone mills isko in turkey might be the nicest current production mill in the world.
focusing on a style, even if based in production is kind of an apples to oranges thing. if you want nice jeans, make sure they were loomed and constructed well. nuff said
