Plugged Inc Headphones Thread *LAUNCHED* NT DISCOUNT & GIVEAWAY Details Inside

Build looks nice, but the cement print is just really corny, these look like they are marketed to kids in high school, change the colors or the design altogether and remove the plugged inc crap. A product has to take itself seriously in order to sell and these just don't. Good effort to start your own company though.
I'd have to say I kind of agree.

OP... where is your production based, if you don't mind me asking?

i like 'em *shrugs*
BUT if i wore them everybody who saw them and didn't personally ask about them would probably start looking for elephant print beats. the design is just so similar.

not original enough for me. like everyone said, looks too much like a generic pair of beats with a bunch of elephant print. i like where your head's at though starting your own line. look forward to seeing the progress and hopefully finding a pair provocative enough to own.

this reminds me of when people started flooding the market with their own coffee spots while I dig anyone trying to do their own business

these look generic and probably don't sound all that great but you can probably capitalize on a small segment for a brief period of time

but personally I'd think you were a tool if you have matching Jordan headphones

Ya'll need more stats on their performance than to just reproduce the 20Hz-20KHz range of human hearing.

And honestly, you can't just copy the commercial leader and think thats going to work. At a glance it looks like you all just copied beats by dre. Its really obvious.

I wouldn't be surprised if they approached ya'll legally

Wow at least change the font if you want to differentiate. No hate, but I would seriously consider a re-design if you are trying to be a serious contender as opposed to being seen as a knock off.

I'd say you done a good job. Got people talking bout your product, good or bad, that's really good.

I really respect your guys hard work and actually going through with it, hope you guys have a solid plan.

As for myself, like others have said looks too much like the BeatsbyDre. I would def buy though if you have some different color ways in the future that appeal more to me and if the sound quality is great. You will have a customer here. I will wait to see the reviews of your product.

Best of luck to you.

As a dj, I would want something thats light weight but powerful at the same time. That bass needs to be kicking and the highs need to be on point. The chord needs to stay out of my way but easy to wrap up. And at the end of the night, I want to

be able to put my headphones away with out worrying about breaking them.

Is this something your headphones can do? I need a new pair for my dj business. If everything goes well, I can talk to my fam at djcity.com and see if they can sell them (not guaranteed).

wall of text so i'm expecting some tl;dr

appreciate all the comments and feedback re: design/colors. we've heard that the colors and design are loud/a bit too much off people here and off people in-person who say that they'd purchase a black/white/(insert color here) pair if ever came out. we hope to have a pair of plugged inc. headphones that you would wear, as soon as possible.

like i said initially, we aimed to make headphones that reference parts of our life whether it be the clothes/sneakers we wear, music we listen to, sites we visit (NT headphones, meth? :nerd:), etc. regardless of whether you are a fan of the design or not, seeing a cement print headphone would catch someone on NT's attention in a crowd of a dozen headphones rather than the other red/black, white, silver, whatever headphones. even if you wouldnt wear this specific model, you might ask a question or google to see what else we had to offer. likewise, its easier for us to step into the headphone game focusing on a design for a specific group of people than step into the game trying to sell the same black headphones that a thousand other companies are out there with.

About time.
Been looking forward to this to launch for a while now :nthat:

 :smh: @ about time. pretty sure i've spoke to you on this since the first nt sxsw showcase.

Shoot, even that plain white color on the feature page would be alright for those who don't like the two loud colorways posted.
When are they supposed to drop?

those are just a blank/white version of our crown series model. judging by the amount of feedback i've received from this thread/in-person, hopefully sooner than later.

Ok I'm curious?
Did y'all actually create "new technology" for these headphones or is this simply an aesthetic design type makeover? 'Cause it seems like the latter.
...

How do these compare to Shure 440s or other monitor headphones (dt 770 pro) ? :nerd:

we use a driver system in our headphones that's superior to many comparable manufacturer's products.

our driver system uses a dual 40mm/15mm whereas the shure 440s ($125 msrp) have a single 40mm driver. with two drivers the sound reproduction is more accurate across all frequencies and has a better tonal balance (bass doesn't drown out mids and highs). the dt 770 pro is a higher-end headphone ($299 msrp) designed for studio use and has higher-quality specs/components which explains the higher price.

are these joints on ear like the solos or over ear like the studio beats? i'm looking for a new set and, while the elephant print is a lil' too flashy for my style, i'd cop an all black pair w/ the discount just to support a fello NTer if the sound quality is on par with my studios.

it's over the ears like the studios. hopefully you'll have a pair of your own in the near future

i have a store in College Park md. stunninstyle.com google us. and let me know asap what we can work out! im real close to UMD so hit me up with an e-mail
i wouldnt mind having your stuff as a vendor. lmk
stunninstyle@yahoo.com

:pimp: will e-mail you soon, thanks.

Dope. I could do some nice promoting for you if you'd like. :]
iLLest!

e-mail me/pm me your e-mail :nthat: get em in another million+ view video?

Imagine if the whole board gets behind this and pushes it. NT could essentially endorse an in-house brand and direct its overall design. We could be like google with the nexus phone. Personally, id alter the design a little bit (more black/less elephant print sort of like the blk/red 3's). We could vote on the final design and push it over our individual social networks. Sort of like an online "collective entrepreneurship".

smart man. :nerd:

Can you make some to mach my yezy 2s? plz

come to launch party and i got you, baby paw.

I always gotta support independent, up and coming businesses, man. I wish I had the time/money to start up my own stuff like this.

I'm a professional graphic designer, I work as a creative director but also do freelance on the side. If you need anything pertaining to anything close to graphics, get at me and we can work out a deal! Ask ksteezy whats up!

Good to see an NTer doing their thing. Congrats, man ...

will cop once reviews are out, and a less flashy color scheme is avail. I have some killer Klipsch inear buds, but I'm looking for something thats over the ear. Beats are just too damn expensive for what you get.
