Any Muslims here?

I'm sure you can conduct a Google search for yourself to see that there are indeed people out there that believe that the Bible is filled with scientific facts.
That I did however I didn't find concrete proof. Very vague verses are used to prove this...

That sounds like what a skeptic would say regarding the scientific evidence found within the Qur'an. So, it's a matter of confirmation bias?

Bismillah ErRahman ErRahim

"It is He Who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. They swim along, each in an orbit. "
(The Qur'an, 21:33)

vs.

"God hangeth the earth on nothing."

(  Job 26:7)

Just a few questions about this:

Is it suggesting that both the moon and the sun orbit the earth?

Also, what is the exact word used that was translated to mean "orbit", and can it be interpreted any other way?

I'll post again if I have more questions later.

No, no mention of the earth...

Just stating that each moves in definite orbit.

But here it states:

Bismillah ErRahman ErRahim

"And the sun runs to its resting place. That is the decree of the Almighty, the All-Knowing. "

(The Qur'an, 37:38)

Meaning that the sun is not static but moves in a definite orbit.

Then

Bismillah ErRahman ErRahim

"By the sky full of paths and orbits."

(The Qur'an, 51:7)

Is it true that Muslims can lie to people who are not their "brothers" and it won't be considered sinning in their religion?

I asked what the Arabic word was used that was translated to mean "orbit", and can this word be translated or interpreted any other way?

From an observer on earth, it would appear that the sun moves throughout the sky and eventually disappears. I'm assuming that's what it means by it "runs to its resting place". It sounds here like it's trying to say that the sun revolves around the earth.
Then

Bismillah ErRahman ErRahim

"By the sky full of paths and orbits."

This isn't vague?

This tatic was used during the Muslim crusade (percusicution) to protect themselves. Lying is never tolerate ONLY in protection of yourself, family, or fellow Muslims in a life or death situation.

The bible doesn't claim to be an exhaustive authority on science, but it does hold up to most scientific scrutiny (I say most because evolutionists and atheist would disagree).

And as a Muslim man, mocking (if your'e not mocking pardon my assumption)

at the bible would be laughing at the same book that Muhammed directs you to look at as a revelation from God?

I apologize if I came of as mocking by using the lol smiley. I was only
trying to make light of the answer because of my ignorance hence the "iono" comment.

I frankly don't like to have this kind of discussion on messaging board because things can be read wrong. That is why I post earlier that if anybody has any questions to feel free to pm.

And the Quran is the last revelation.

what are your thoughts?
It's difficult for me to comment because I really haven't invested a lot of time into studying these texts. It's really difficult to discuss them if you don't understand the context or the fact that they were written in different languages. I'd really like to learn a lot more though. I just find it interesting reading the opinions of someone that obviously knows a lot more than me. I really only know the Evangelical beliefs about the Bible.
I think sincere questions are the best way about learning anything, even if those questions have a aire of skepticism.

masha allah! glad there are other muslims here as well!
