The problem with the Canon Lenses is that they are super expensive and the mount are as interchangeable like the Nikon, however they have a good selecetion in lens and you are able to take superior pictures with them. However they do tend to make a lot of contrast and saturate the pictures a lot ...

shay is referring to the g10.

Old family friend and her husband (pretty sure he was an NT'er) stopped by with his new whip. Snapped a quick photo.

so basically, the canon would not be the way to go because if i wanted to get into photography a bit more, i would not be able to change the lenses to get better shots right?

i did not know that...

people keep telling me the canon is the better one for beginners as far as point and shoot goes, but i dont like the fact that i will not be able to change those lenses out. hmmm

so my next question is.. where is the best deal i can get that d40 for? and what do you guys think about buying used cameras? i was gonna go for a nice set i found on craigs list, with the d40 and another lens for distance shooting for $540, but something worries my about spending that kind of money on a used item.

thoughts?

thanks again.

you can changes lenses on the canon rebel

This 35mm f1.8 really seems like a great lens. Everyone wants one, and everyone that has one loves it.

Anyone here use a non-Canon, dedicated flash? I wanna get a flash but the Speedlites are damn expensive. $275 for a 430ex ii is a lot. I just bought a Sigma10-20 a few weeks ago so i'm a bit down on funds. I don't have any experience with flash photography so i want to start learning but don't want tospend a lot. I found a pretty good Vivitar for only $99 from B&H. Seems to have a lot of comparable specs as the Canon without the hefty price. If someonehas flash experience and can recommend something i'd appreciate it, max i wanna spend shipped is about 120-130. Here's a link to the Vivitar i'mtalking about. Thanks

I got a quick question on flickr etiquette. When someone asks me a question on my photo do I respond by commenting on that photo? Also is it would it be ana-hole move if someone gave me a nice shot comment, and I didn't leave anything back?
