Damn...Bana making the move to the DSLR ranks. I couldn't quite comprehend the type of camera you had. I kept thinking Nikon and then checked the blog andsaw it was the Canon. Damn.....I kind of wished I bought a bigger camera.

ANd at E-bay.....cuban linked strap.....gangsta!

yes! i was going to just get a rebel, but my good friend sydni (yoshie, if any of you know of her), has been into photography for some time. she came to myhouse a few months ago with her new canon and i just fell in love with the 40d. ive done tons of research, and i suppose you stick with one company... i reallylove the way canons work and im familiar with them, hence why i bought the 40d. i had the money saved so i went for it, and now im slowly learning. sydni hadjust recently purchased her 40d and really wanted to further her learning with it. i purchased my canon with her exactly 2 weeks ago, and on that day wepromised each other to visit every other weekend so we could go on crazy adventures together with just our cameras. she was killed 4 days later in a horrificaccident, im sure some of you on NT may know about it. im going to continue what her and i were meant to do together... learn our cameras and go on adventures, this way shell always be with me. i know she would still want me to... besides, i cant put this camera down, its my new love!! every picture i take, i knowsydni would enjoy. =)

those pics on my blog werent mine, i wish i could say they were.. but i actually saw those pics originally on NT and did a little bit more research on them.and jimmy, lol thanks... not sure if that was sarcasm or corny, but ill take it as something nice =). yay!! im finally posting in the photography thread.

thanks. Macro will take some time to get used to especially when it's hand held shots. Just the slightest movement of your body can take your shot out offocus. Does anyone have experience with a good macro lens for Canon? So far the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM has caught my eye.
