R.I.P Trayvon

I'm late, but why is this a race issue? Under Law he was right, that is a dumbass **** **** republican pro gun anti no white law, but it is the law. Zimmerman was a dbag, we can't combat racism in ppls head, isk what the point if 'race riots', who is it against? What great racial Injustice happened? Old white dude young blk kid, no amount of civil rights can change what's in his head...that being said Florida is a bs state as a hole.

He isn't and "old white dude"..He's a 29 year old Hispanic/White guy..That is all..

I agree.

But I was fortunate enough to have parents that let me know this constantly. I was given a protocol on how to deal with the police, how to conduct myself in confrontations based on the color of my skin, and reminded daily that the odds were against me. This information has been the key to getting me were I am in life. Just think of what a huge benefit it would be if every Black American male had this information.

Wow!  Someone who actually gets it. Parents that know the key to advancing themselves and their race instead of continuing the vicious cycle.

but the sad thing is that we have to teach our children to do this at all :smh: this is going to carry on to future generations "don't do this while you're out...remember Trayvon?"

As a black man time to step it up...

the best thing to do is to educate and teach your children, so maybe somewhere in the future our lives will be worth a damn

Why is it our fault though? A rent a cop shoots us and we have to be the ones to "be better"

It's not, but that's just how it is :smh:

Yeah the fact that we even need to be conscious of those things like even how we look at an officer when pulled over speaks volumes

Son was just an average citizen though... So we gotta be scared, fearful, and conscious of making average Joe's nervous now? This had nothing to do with cops

SMH at Florida
SMH at Zimmerman
SMH at our "Justice" system
SMH at all you guys.

As a black man I grew up with a loving parents. They didn't let me just run reckless. My pops would have put a his foot in my butt. That was the problem with Trayvon, he didnt have that at home. My question is when he was confronted by Zimmerman why didnt he call his parents instead of that girl, I would called my mom or dad.

I had two friends growing up. One lived with his parents in modest 2-story home in a really nice community. The other lived with 6 brothers and 3 sisters in shack. My well-off friend had everything given to him parents let him run the streets and they bailed him every time he got in a jam. My not so lucky friend has managed to keep his nose clean and his parents didnt play. They couldnt they were broke. Yet, my well off friend from a nice community is in prison for the rest of his life and parents have went broke trying to bail him out. My un-likely friend is a dental technician doing really good.

Bottomline, parents need to be accountable for their children.

Zimmerman clearly looks Hispanic, but in the photoshopped pic Trayvon is clearly white

Trayvon was innocent...............where's his justice at??  Also, for those that really know the history of this country, nothing for black people happened until WE as a community started to uprise on our own.  Nothing in this country has ever been given to us.....ever.
Prove it?

The prosecutors couldn't. But you, a random dude on a sneaker forum...you're better suited to say that with certainty?

You think I really think an all white jury is going to give a black male in this country a fair trial. At the end of the day a clown white guy who wanted to be a wanna be cop profiled a young black kid. Those of you cheering/celebrating the verdict are just like Zimmerman......in more ways than one.

Fa real we still don't know what REALLY occurred during that night

Even though I wanted to see Zimmerman go down I knew this would be outcome. Ain't no justice for minorities still. Not even man slaughter smh

- Weak case against Zimmerman

- 911 audio sounded like Zimmerman yelling for "Help!"

Not surprised that Zimmerman was found not guilty.

Saw some tweets about emmet till embracing Trayvon and it nearly brought me to tears...I'm gonna watch sportscenter I need a release from this

I hope y'all posting about how stand your ground was the only reason Zimmerman won this case have at least a FEW brain cells in your head.

He waived his right to that law before the trail even started.

This trail was never about stand your ground, it was about proving wether or not Zimmerman murdered this kid. If your gonna blame anything for him walking free blame the lack of evidence against him. The prosecution could have been amazing but with a little solid evidence it's hard to convince a jury that someone is guilty without a doubt. It's just the way the law works.

That's all I have to say.
