NIKE AIR MAG 2015

Watch the whole power lace thing be a ruse and it'll just be some Roshe/AT1 hybrids with a powered strap

Tinker never said the word "mag"!
I have alluded to this much in here, but no one wants to listen. All he ever said was power lacing...no mention of it being on Mags (NOT air Mags...Air has never been attached)

Not sure about specific time from the commercial, it says its 10:04pm at the mall, but the time circuits say it's 4

10:04 is the time in 1985...if you wanna go by the movie use the displayed time on the time circuits for 2015. Not that hard fellas...

Was only referring to the commercial because someone asked about if there was a specific time in the commercial.

Haha EXACTLY!

I wish I had a dime for every time I've read speculation involving the words "Air Mag"

If that's not a mag in the patent for the power lacing system then I'd love to know what shoe it is

Thank you man, I appreciate that. I do understand that a lot of sneaker heads don't like what I did but I also never deceived anyone about my fakes. Also, it just sucked that NIKE would not let everyone have a chance at these shoes. It leaves a bad feeling about them as a company.
I've been in awe of a lot of your work on the RPF forum over the years.

I can't help but wonder if Nike will do anything regarding BTTF2. The only reason I picked up a pair of the Dunk Low "McFly" earlier this year was due to the insole having the hoverboard-esque graphics so it seemed like a legit connection to the movie and the shoe.

I remember seeing the auction go live in 2011 and after about 2 seconds of realizing I had no shot at the real ones, all I really wanted was the "Its About Time" shirt that they're wearing in the commercial.  I suppose only time will tell if anything comes out.

Finally somebody dropping something worth acknowledging. I remember reading ALL OF THIS back when I had my pair. It's been posted in here and the old Mag thread but nobody cares. Everyone keeps referencing the patent. Just because a patent is applied for and granted does not guarantee a finished product. Just grants exclusive rights to Nike for the "tech". All of us who say "no Mags" could very well eat our words...but in my bones I feel Tinker was hyping up the let down  People took from it what they wanted.

So I guess guys paying extra for "Air Mag" raffles at SoleXchange (http://www.eventbrite.com/e/solexch...-2015-jacob-javits-center-tickets-17487616933) are getting robbed?
Nobody is getting robbed. A simple raffle for Mags from 2011. The fact that almost the ENTIRE sneaker community calls them "air" Mags is irrelevant.

Some people just don't want to believe that there will not be another MAG release...

I hope you're not serious with the last statement.

As previously stated, just because a patent it applied for and granted, does not mean that said patented product is destined to be pushed into production. It only grants the rights and protection to the patent holder of the tech or idea itself. And just because the overall silo of the shoe is a Mag means even less. The MAIN portion of the patent is the lacing system itself, that can be placed in any shoe/shell they desire because the overall shoe design is not patented, just the "guts" of the system.

Tinker's words from the YT vid should shed more light as well. Will we see power laces in 2015? To that I say "yes". That couldn't be a more ambiguous statement. He never says Mags, and before that references the fact of designing footwear in general. Plus he says and stresses "very little". The sneaker community wants so bad for them to be Mags, but I'm pretty sure Nike is going to stand by the original statement regarding the 2011 release, especially because it was a HUGE PR move, and there is NO need for Nike to tarnish that charitable move just to appease fans and consumers, that as we all should know by now, Nike doesn't really care to please the consumers. They are a business, in the business of making money, not catering to our feelings.

@jedifyfe1

Having been a member of the RPF and involved with Bill Diamond and a group called Hanger 18 back in 2001, I have seen a lot of your work. Kudos to you sir. And too bad the old thread got locked because I think you rustled some jimmies with your Mag work too. Oh well. Nice job! :D 8) :smokin

Im hopeful for a 2015 release, but with a huge dose of skepticism just like many of yall. Back when the BTTF dunks released, people kept saying Tinker confirmed a auto lace Mag for this year and I kept saying "where" did he say that and that nothing was confirmed. Tinker is smart and very much the salesman. He said exactly what he wanted to say in those latest interviews without really saying anything at all. I think the sneaker community spun it into their own interpretations of what Tinker said, assuming that it could only mean one thing, a 2015 auto lace mag.

Not at all.

I'm trying to figure out what logic the entire internet used to get to that conclusion

Sheer hype and enthusiasm. I get it...but they just gotta read between the lines a bit. Makes for more interesting blogging and IG posting than "NO Mags this year"...ya know?

oh wow, we got RPF members are on NT too lol

I lurk often on that forum and they do very good work, but i don't think i could do those replica MAGs. It just seems like a super good fake to me, and i don't mess with fake shoes. That's just me though
