NIKE AIR MAG 2015

auctioning doesn't really kill resale. it def puts a damper on the number of people who are able to purchase for resell because of the higher prices but by looking at it through a basic business viewpoint, low supply equals high demand. They'll auction off at an average price and some people will lose because they didn't put the highest price they could have paid for em but put just the amount they felt would win. They'll lose but still have funds to pony up to buy from somebody else because they got it like that.

Avg auction goes for 4k and some people can afford to drop 6k on em because every one isn't going to sell for 4k and everyone who bids won't win. So that's why somebody would pay 7k for an auction they lost at 5k.

You do NOT need patents to put lights in shoes

.

Where's the invention? They only need to patent power lacing.
I never said you needed a patent for this. If you look at the patent it breaks down every part of the shoe and explains the functions. I didn't see mention of it.

Judging by the interview that was posted in here with Tiffany and Tink explaining what it took to make that strap logo glow I highly doubt it actually will.

But what do I know..

The media is hyping the hell out of these shoes. A local political radio talk show were talking about them. For like over an hour. My only hope is that nike doesn't make these super limited.

They made it light up the first time around, why would this version be any different?

In the interview one page earlier Tinker Hatfield mentions the huge difficulties they had to overcome installing the electronics that were able to withstand all external influences to make it a wearable sneaker at least for a certain period of time. However, they stress that it was STILL regarded as a movie prop and if their goal is to create a sneaker with an appropriate life expectancy, maybe leaving out the electronics might be an option...

If the life expectancy on these, even if for limited use, isn't very long I wouldn't suggest anyone who couldn't comfortably afford these to try and save for them. Everything you buy is essentially an investment. It's the reason why we try to keep our sneakers as close to pristine condition as possible; to try and protect our investment. But eventually they're worn and gutted and it's time to scoop another pair.

So even if you do make some good money and could save up from now until a fall release I still think you'd be better off keeping that for something greater unless money really isn't an issue.

My sauces are saying that the retail price will be $750. Nike can keep em. I'm a grown *** man. Can't drop a G on some toy shoes.

That`s exactly the reason why I never bothered to even think about getting one of the 2011 releases. I`m afraid if the 2015 release will be between 500-750$ and if I`ll be able to get a pair, it`ll be for display only and I`ll mod one or two more knock-offs and wear those...

Only place these will prob drop are nike stores and online. I can see retail between 600-1000

we had a member here that tracked auction prices back in 11, the lowest they got was around 3500 around the middle of the auction period. the first pairs sold for a ton but then it dropped off fast and only went back up some at the end. if a reseller bought around the 4k price point it was an easy 1-2k flip for them if you sold internationally in the months following the initial auctions. mags have been for sale on ebay constantly since. only the highly priced ones are left.

my only hope for these is for a wider release of a non electronic version, or barring that, more accurately made chinese fakes.
Horrible that you would even think about supporting the fake industry.

I think the 2015 mags should be not be auctioned off they should make the og cw limited and sell a different cw as a gr. The 2011 should have nothing to do with these really because they are a movie prop. Tink himself said that they are a movie prop and are not meant to be worn
And now people are asking for limited?  WTF is going on with this place.  They should NOT be limited and they should NOT come out with a retro+ CW.

don't get me wrong I rather have them make these a gr but ppl are talking about them being auction off. So So rather have them limited than auction off.

lame attempt at a joke, i personally think these should get another auction but the prices will be higher to buy and i don think it will come by 3k but surpass is on ebay jus for the fact the movie buffs could get them for their collection too its so many different hobbiers (i know not real word) that this shoe impacts in a positive way

Anyone hear anything about a supposed 10/21/15 release date? Or is that speculation?

Anything not coming directly from Nike is speculation as far as I'm concerned. We saw how tightly under wraps things were kept the first time around, no reason to think they can't do the same thing this time.
