Thread about Jesus - Questions, Bible Verses and Prayer Requests

I just find it a little ironic how the BEST preventative medicines and nutrients for my bodily growth and survival are sticking out of the ground and falling off the trees. How random is that?
When you separate yourself from nature, it seems random.

But when you realize that we are a part of nature, then it makes perfect sense that the best things for us... come from nature.

Each member of the Trinity is God. The Father is God (John 6:27;Romans 1:7;1 Peter 1:2). The Son is God (John 1:1,14;Romans 9:5;Colossians 2:9;Hebrews 1:8;1 John 5:20). The Holy Spirit is God (Acts 5:3-4;1 Corinthians 3:16).

The Man Jesus Christ (peace be upon him)? I thought you said he was god? Someone also said he was son of god? Please give us one straight forward answer

I could ask every devout Christian 3 basic simple questions and get different answers? Why is there a lack of consistency? Is that interpretive?
God is made of 3 parts, but is still 1 deity, 1 existence, 1 God.
the 3 parts are:
God the father
God the son (jesus)
God the Holy Spirit.
I posted this yesterday.

God took the form of man, Jesus, to die on the cross for our sins. He did not stay dead, he resurrected 3days later.
Who ressurected him?

 Psalms 82
[sup]1 [/sup]God presides in the great assembly;
    he renders judgment among the “gods”:

[sup]2 [/sup]“How long will you defend the unjust
    and show partiality to the wicked?
[sup]3 [/sup]Defend the weak and the fatherless;
    uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed.
[sup]4 [/sup]Rescue the weak and the needy;
    deliver them from the hand of the wicked.

[sup]5 [/sup]“The ‘gods’ know nothing, they understand nothing.
    They walk about in darkness;
    all the foundations of the earth are shaken.

[sup]6 [/sup]“I said, ‘You are “gods”;
    you are all sons of the Most High.’
[sup]7 [/sup]But you will die like mere mortals;
    you will fall like every other ruler.”

[sup]8 [/sup]Rise up, O God, judge the earth,
    for all the nations are your inheritance.

This speaks to the magistrates and judges. God admits their dignity but also reminds them of their mortality.

To me it's like He's mocking them while at the same time demanding accountability for the office that they've been placed in because of who they're representing.

John 10

[sup]22 [/sup]Then came the Festival of Dedication at Jerusalem. It was winter, [sup]23[/sup]and Jesus was in the temple courts walking in Solomon’s Colonnade. [sup]24 [/sup]The Jews who were there gathered around him, saying, “How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Messiah, tell us plainly.”

[sup]25 [/sup]Jesus answered, “I did tell you, but you do not believe. The works I do in my Father’s name testify about me, [sup]26 [/sup]but you do not believe because you are not my sheep. [sup]27 [/sup]My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. [sup]28 [/sup]I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. [sup]29 [/sup]My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. [sup]30 [/sup]I and the Father are one.”

[sup]31 [/sup]Again his Jewish opponents picked up stones to stone him, [sup]32 [/sup]but Jesus said to them, “I have shown you many good works from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?”

[sup]33 [/sup]“We are not stoning you for any good work,” they replied, “but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.”

[sup]34 [/sup]Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I have said you are “gods”’? [sup]35 [/sup]If he called them ‘gods,’ to whom the word of God came—and Scripture cannot be set aside— [sup]36 [/sup]what about the one whom the Father set apart as his very own and sent into the world? Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said, ‘I am God’s Son’?

Judges and civil magistrates were called "gods" in Psalms, which was a part of their Law, because of their position and authority that represented God's.
Also, I missed something with the earlier Psalms 82 passage. The word Elohim in place of God is used, which can also be translated to "judge(s)". This is relative because of Israel's use of judges for jurisdiction.

I find it a little ironic that the main source of energy for our Earth (hint: it's the Sun) is also a contributing factor to a lot of early deaths across the globe.

So you say Jesus is god, and yet you say that god cannot die...but yet we both are in agreement that Jesus did indeed die.

I hope you see my concern?

Is there a present day Abraham? Has God given children to those who couldn't bear children in our generation? How did God speak to Abraham? Was it through his conscience? I want God to speak to me so that I know he exists.
You are LITERALLY asking yourself to be convinced that 'he' exists, bro.

Think about that.

'He' hasnt been made as clear to you in a way as natural as the first breath you took, so you are begging for further convincing.

And you'll get it; you'll be convinced... because you want to be.

Children raised in the church believe in 'god' because they are literally taught from birth that 'he' exists; it's NOT NATURAL.

This is an interesting point too. I've never been more confused in my life.

Rasberry is ignorant.

I hope..hell, I'll pray that his children are born gay.

I'm a firm believer in being born gay so to tie that into his dumb belief in a fairy tale doesn't sit well with me.
C'mon man, no need to be disrespectful...he is just trying to answer questions and help people out.

WE will pray for you my friend.

God bless you.

Jesus did die, but he did not stay dead.
Jesus was on earth while simultaneously existing in his natural state as God outside of earth.
God took the form of a man, to walk on earth, perform miracles, share the gospel, die on the cross AND came back to life to save us all from hell.

Again, the trinity has never been brought to light. Every time it's explained it doesn't make sense

Its not the easiest thing to understand, but God is 3 in 1, its in the Bible. I've posted a few scriptures stating such. God is infinitely greater than we are; therefore, we should not expect to be able to fully understand Him. The Bible teaches that the Father is God, that Jesus is God, and that the Holy Spirit is God. The Bible also teaches that there is only one God.

Why do some christians believe that jesus (peace be upon him) is god because he didn't have a father? based on that logic what would that make Adam? Neither father or mother?

Let me propose this to you - The odds that you exist, statistically speaking - stemming from all the proteins and atoms being formed etc, are 1 in 10 ^ 2,685,000.  That's a 10, with 2.685 million zeros after it.  Now, that is the odds for one individual person: consider then that there are just under 7 billion people on this planet.  In other words, it's impossible that we were randomly formed by chance just out of nature.

I'm not here to tell you what to believe or that you even have to believe anything.  That is your choice to make and I'll still treat you with the kindness and respect you as a human being deserve.  All I'm saying is that we're lucky to be where we're at right now.
