I have no idea.
It does seem over the top but at least its not pretending to be reality like VH1.
Don't mind it as long as people understand it's just a tv show.

This show would be good if the winners actually got recognition for their music. But I haven't heard anything about a winner or contestant since that Blake dude who beat boxes.
