Brand New (or is it?) AUDI *** 2018 RS3 (400HP)

No S5

Man I hate that style of navi screen looks so out if place like something cheap aftermarket you install

Wouldn't go as far as lame, it's more of an evolution than revolution but it still looks good.

Yeah maybe I shouldn't have used the term lame. it is an evolution but idk I think they are slacking and they def need to do something about the interior layout.

I feel the interior is good for an A4 but I do agree that they could have made a more dramatic change to the body. Especially the A5, would have been nice to give it a more fastback look and get rid of that somewhat jagged rise before the slope.

S5 hasn't been revealed yet, that pic is actually a leak.

Also, the Nav is in the instrument cluster.

Ahhhh wow that's awesome would cut down on removing your eyes from the road. But still that screen is just out of place. That's the same way Benz is doing it now right?

Yah, really not sure why they moved away from the integrated design.

My theory is that it allows them to make it easier to update the screen size. Like on the Merceds CLA/GLA, standard was ~5" and the Nav option is ~7" and then they are upgrading it for the next model year where standard is ~7" and the nav option gets an ~8". It just makes it easier without changing the interior layout since many complains about the size of screens and year after year it seems like many are demanding for it to be bigger. That's my theory at least.

It does look weird and out of place but you quickly get used to it.

At least Audis is more thought out, you can see the screen is somewhat fitted in the dash while Mercedes' version is just there hanging out.

R8s aren't dropping much in price either, though I haven't really paid much attention to it's used value in the past couple of years. I figure with the new gen not looking that vastly different keeps it's value decently high in the second hand market.

A new report from Car and Driver claims that not only is a new RS4 on the way, but that it could, maybe, possibly return to the United States.

As previously reported, the fourth-generation RS4 will go back to a twin-turbocharged V6, after two generations of unassisted V8s under the hood. As per RS4 tradition, it will also be limited to a five-door Avant body style, because "that is what people expect from the RS4," Quattro GmbH boss Heinz Hollerweger told Car and Driver. An RS5 Sportback could also be in the offing, which might remain more true to the character of the first US-market RS4.

The US question, though, remains an iffy one, largely because of the Avant shape. Audi has reduced the number of wagons it's offered in the US over the years, dropping the A4 and A6 Avant, although the former is sort of still offered in the form of the Allroad. But that position might be enough to keep the next-gen RS4 off our shores, although as the Quattro boss told CD the US market is changing and "there is more demand there [for wagons], so maybe that will change."
