Yeah, and Asian parents love the dude because he was able to play pro-ball and do what he wanted even after going to Harvard. So now there's no excuse to not do well in school even after following your dreams.

Asian parents just want their kids to be better than what they were back then at their country. Just some go about it the wrong way.

No problem w/ Asian girls who "only date white guys." To each their own, be with whoever makes you happy, you have that right as an individual. You can't control who you are attracted to.
I see a lot of Asian dudes who are super bitter about the Asian Female / White Male thing.....it's all good homie, just do you.
Now, Asian females who "only date white guys" because they are insecure and they feel like dating a white guy increases their social status? That's lame.

I do think this is a thing that might be more central to California. I am not sure if this is said all across the US or even in Asia for that matter. Here in SF, it's said a lot but I know some NY chinese chicks and they hardly think that way at all.

Black guy straight preferring non black women (wont touch black women) - Mostly black chicks go in on that but it aint uncommon to see black men go in as well

IMO there is something seriously wrong with a person if they completely write off an entire race of people.
Self hate definitely plays a major role if you wouldn't date someone within your own race.

Agreed, but that's just my own experience.
I prefer Filipino, Latina, and black girls and I'm an Asian guy. My family is against it, but those yambs make me happy.

Agreed. Nothing wrong with preference but there's clearly a line between that and objectifying/putting a race on a pedestal.

Self hate is a poison on the black community. It needs to be rid of for sure but there are better ways to deal with it than shaming those who have it.
Black women arent seen in the most positive light by other races so they understandably get upset when certain black men share those feelings. Pretty much the same thing that asian men feel when asian women only date white guys.
And like dude said there is something wrong with people who write off an entire race.

But yeah, when I meet Asian chicks that say they don't date Asian men, I just brush my shoulders off. They're usually the ones who don't offer anything but the yambs that can't provide anything on the table or super educated raised in the suburb types. When I was younger I used to get my jimmies rustled when I meet Asian chicks that would say that. Now that I'm older I've seen what those type of women became and it feels like a blessing they never gave me their time of day.

I think the reason why asian men hate seeing asian girls with another race (mostly white) is because of the culture.
It's not about just taking their "women." It's the fact that they are going away from their culture to fit in within the western society.

I'm assuming cats from NY don't have pride in being Chinese or Taiwanese, but tell that to the folks here living in SGV and LA. We rep that Chinese pride out in our businesses and streets
as far as I can tell, not a whole lot of chinese pride around NY..the Taiwanese distinguish themselves as Taiwanese
don't see no China flags hanging around the neighborhood, even in Chinatown
but then again, hanging up a flag of a country that's still down with communism might be un-american
