Asian On Asian Racism? Have You Experienced Or Witnessed It?

Don't forget Eddie Huang
I love Eddie Huang, but I do often wonder how non-Asians view him.

Fat chubby Asian kid who tries too hard to be "black"?

Or intelligent, open minded Asian who loves hip hop culture and made a living for himself going against the grain and doing what he loves

True true. A lot of Asian Ams are torn on "Fresh Off the Boat" because ABC apparently took a lot out of the show.
I understand why they'd be mad.
It's not a perfect representation, but it's a start for us.

But that dude was on BangBus so :smokin

John Cho is still doing some stuff. Jamie Chung surprisingly hasn't gone away and has been in pretty big movies. Ming-Na Wen who played Chung Lee is in Agents of SHEILD.

Speaking of.....anyone see this Kickstarter movie trying to be made? Looks pretty bad though but the Japanese chick from Karate Kid 2 still looks good.

I hope you would've told her to shower and brush her teeth first. She was on the bus all day using her mouth and vagina. At the end of the episode I think he ate from the same spoon or fork from her. Nasty.

Had this one Vietnamese friend that was super into Korean stuff/culture. Dude would stay in all summer to "hibernate" because his skin tone was naturally tan/dark and he wanted to be pale when fall hits to fit in with the Koreans. Lol dude is a lame for that

They don't really f with us Vietnamese kids unless we go to extreme lengths and pretend we're Korean. Lol

No problems with Chinese people though. I actually think viet and Chinese people get along contrary to popular belief. My home girl who's Chinese dates strictly only viet dudes

I did not know all this **** about Koreans. Like at all.

How would rank asian races from most to least accepting of other asians? what about for non asian cultures?

Also whats a dope korean streetwear brand? :nerd:

I wanna compare em to American and Japanese ones.

Filipinos are the nicest imo. They treat you like fam and overall very welcoming people.

Least accepting has to be Koreans no doubt.

Because there's a lot of overlap in our cultures.

Somehow I knew it would be filipinos.
Filipinos are too nice.

I went to my homies kid's party. The kid is half black half filipino.
In the party there was no place to stand so I stood in the kitchen by the food while I watched her open her gifts. I didnt even know a line started behind me. I was probably blocking them for a cool 15 mins. I was thinking "damn..... just tell me to get out of your damn way"

Not to mention every time i go to her house her grandma points me straight to the food before I even say "hi". I dont do this but if I wanted to I could raid their entire fridge and nobody would say a damn thing.

Anybody got the rich Chinese exchange students? The ones that don't speak English whipping around in Benzes and BMWs and always has heat on their feet?

Which is why J.Lin is such a huge thing to Asian Americans.
A regular Asian dude who grew up in the states, ballin on dudes in the NBA and he went to Harvard.
Essentially he's the regular Asian Kid's Superman.

The other day on the train I saw this Asian kid in a Knicks jersey. Don't know why but I checked to see it Lin's name was on the back. It's like he read my mind and gave me the realest stare ever without missing a step and walked off smirking with immense swag.

...I still don't know how to feel about it, I'm trying to work out the proper reaction a week later.

Most of my friends are Filipino, but damn, I doubt I could ever marry a Filipina. Not because of anything about them (I've dated a few before) but because of how deeply religious their families usually are and how anti religion I am...Imagine the drama when I refuse to have a baptism for my kids, all hell would break loose  That's why when it comes to Asian women I prefer Lao,Cambodian, Vietnamese, etc girls for serious relationships cause they're usually Buddhist (the only religion I can tolerate). Sucks cause other than the religion part, I get along with Filipinas really well :frown:

I seen the foreign exchange students at Pasadena stunt in Audi R8s and Porsches.

Crazy, I see those guys rocking Supreme Foams, Yeezy 1 and 2, Fragment 1s, DB4s.

Correct me if I am wrong but a lot of it is because to get a girl in China you NEED money 99% of the time.

Because of the country's ridiculous foresight single boys outnumber single girls by 34M people (not much less than the population of califor. There are 7 single guys for every single girl. So girls are basically auctioned off to the highest bidder. Parents will set their sons up with girls and the girls parents will immediately start asking how much he makes and what he does.

So you bring that mentality to the us and it is what it is.

There was a thread about this on reddit a while back

Chinese dudes were venting how frustrating it is. Especially in large cities like Shanghai where "well off" STARTS at about $10M worth of property.

Money is 50% of the equation, the other half is having the connections. Like say your mom is friends with another mom who has a single daughter, they are going to try their best to hook you up if you don't have a wife. One time, my mom was called by a distant relative from China who was looking to marry off one of her 18 year old grandchildren and was asking if I was available
I was, but my mom was like, nah he's too young to get married.

Not Chinese, but knew plenty of Thai kids back when I was in school.

You have to keep in mind that cars cost 200-300 percent back in the homeland as well as most parts of the world.

A friend has a car shop that does high end cars. We usually help these kids buy since they speak little to no English. They couldn't believe how cheap an M3 is at around $75-80k  they were sitting on HREs or Volks immediately too.

A couple of big timers were in Lambos

Super cool dudes. Just didn't go out much because they spoke broken English.

Just got back from a tech mixer event. Saw like 4 couples that were Asian woman and white male. All were out of shape and what I thought of the tech represents. Running sneakers, dad jeans and graphic t shirts

I'd imagine this is what the Bay Area would look like since its tech town now

^There is that too. A lot of my friends from the Philippines say the same thing when i say "why buy an expensive car if you have to leave after you are done with school".

"If I would spend 80k on a **** car back home why not just spend 80k on a good one?"

I guess thats one way of looking at it
