I know this is random, but I wonder if Nike regrets not resigning Steph Curry. In my opinion I never thought Kyrie was an athlete worthy of a signature shoe.. just HOH PEs. This is the first time a Nike Athlete with a sig has ever missed an all-star game. Its kind of an unwritten rule. I'm really disappointed that they aren't gonna drop these "all star" Kyries..

Steph Curry had some dope PE's with Nike. Nike definitely missed on him. Then again he gave them the ammunition because at the time he had paper mache ankles.

To be honest, Nike would probably trade Lebron, KD, Kobe, Kyrie, George, and Davis for Curry--dude's the most marketable figure in the NBA. Nike got bailed out due to his UA line looking like trash though--especially the 2s.

I just mean objectively speaking; Kobe's done, Lebron and KD's lines have stagnated and become outlet fodder, Kyrie's exciting as anything, but injured every single season, George is not a superstar and in an awful market, and Davis, like Kyrie, is injured every season, and also a big man that might not be able to handle his own line.
I love Kyrie's game, and his signature line is great, but I'd have to agree that he wasn't exactly the most natural fit as a signature athlete. Love him or hate him(I'm impartial), but Curry's the guy.

I agree. Nike is gonna aim to get Curry. Under Armour is gonna offer a stupid amount of money but as good and marketable he is, they'll offer even more to bring him in

Derrick Rose was too lol I hope the best for him but times change quick especially with the big stars aligning. Lakers should be real rough with Simmons next year and he will be wearing Nikes as well. Last fun fact is the jerseys next year will have the swoosh visible. NFL and NBA! I say the swoosh ain't worried about much.

Curry isn't going to go back to a company that let him walk to begin with. He's a loyal guy. He lit it up in college and could have transferred to any college in the country. But he chose to stay at Davidson. Under Armour has been good to him and he just signed an extension. He's not gonna leave UA for Nike in the future. He probably feels jaded that they let him walk

There wasn't an all-star game that season because of the shortened season with the lock out. I believe there was only 50 games that season, but Penny would've more than likely made that all-star game with he and Iverson at the 1 and 2

Lebron has had sig shoes since his rookie year but he missed the all star game that year.
KD was a nike athlete from day 1 and had his first sig shoe his 2nd season, and made his 1st ASG in his 3rd season.
As far as injuries, Kobe has missed 3 ASGs, but has been voted as a starter all 18 seasons which is absurd.
Penny made 4 all star teams, so obviously he missed a lot. Technically the seasons that he had a sig model, he made the team.
Pippen had a lot of unofficial Pippen models during his prime and played in all star games. When the pippen 1 dropped, he played in the ASG. That was his last all star game but he had 4 more sig drops.

Bruh.... I'm not trying to be difficult but you listed out athletes that had sig shoes. That's not the argument. Pip and penny didn't really play in an era where all star shoes really mattered.
