If you don't live near water or go to a park near water, then they are very rare. I never saw one for months until I went to a park near water and was able to get a Dewgong pretty quickly. And they are very close up when you try to catch them.

Holy stardust Batman! What level are you/do you power up your Pokemon ever?
I hate when people of my team leave strong Vaporeons as the lowest Pokémon in a gym. Only decent Vaporeon counter I have is my CP1667 Exeggutor and a lot of the Vaporeons I run into are lower CP than that so training isn't as effective. Plus my Exeggutor has Zen Headbutt and Seed Bomb; I wish I at least had Solarbeam.

i caught dragonite and some other good stuff downtown charlotte like 3 weeks ago,
my hotel had 2 stops and it would spawn good joints,
its crazy to see how that place is in shambles atm.

Use your parasects with solar beam. Wrecks vaporeons pretty easy

I have no Pokemon with Solarbeam...
Plus my Parasects are pretty trash. I do like using my Raticates that know Hyper Beam.
I'm just waiting on 5 more candy to get my good IV Vileplume. Still like 40 away for Victreebel.

I wonder if having a certain buddy affects what spawns near you....since I've had bulbasaur as my buddy I've had 2 bulbasaur and an Ivysaur spawn in my apt...

I think it does. I also had a bulbasaur as my buddy and they were spawning more frequent.

It could, but it certainly hasn't done anything for me. Still haven't seen a wild Charmander. Buddy system keeps a steady supply of candy coming, though.
After several trash eggs, I got something good: my first Pikachu. That may not sound that great, but it was my only shadow on my Dex since the only wild one I've seen ran, so it's nice to see that now my Caught and Seen match (82).

Maybe I'm just missing something, but nothing shows up for me on fastpokemap whie on my phone's browser (I'm using Chrome), but the mons are visible when I'm on my laptop's browser. But what good is that when I'm out?

It seems obvious, but you tapped the center bottom button to start the scan, right? It won't do it automatically a lot of times (which is dumb). Despite the name, it's not very fast... works for me using Chrome on my phone, though.

so the cemetery by my campus has 18 pokestops and 2 gyms, but my campus only has 3 pokestops and 1 gym, okay niantic
