People are going to say race and while that may be true for an ignorant minority of people, I think it mainly stems from previous dislike from his college career (the laptop theft/Florida situation, SEC rivals), or people who truly felt that his celebration was over-the-top and unsportsmanlike.
This wouldn't even be the issue that it is now if it wasn't for that mom sending a letter complaining about it and then the snowball effect of the following reactions and then reactions to those reactions. Had she not sent that letter, the only way you'd probably know about it is if you watched the game or saw a clip of it the next day on SportsCenter.
